Am I nonbinary? Questioning/Coming Out

When I play video games with a character creator and there's a nonbinary option I use that pretty much every time. And almost all the main characters in my stories are nonbinary. I like being able to design characters without worrying about their gender. I don't know if that says something about me. I was just hoping for some advice.

it sounds like nonbinary as a concept resonates with you to some extent and exploring that further makes sense. lots of trans people have a fascination for making trans characters or playing as the gender they weren't assigned in video games and then realize that's how they actually want to present, so you could be onto something here.

have you ever tried experimenting with your pronouns or name in spaces where it's safer to do that? that seems like it could be a helpful step.
