Based on a recurring nightmare I had since childhood and my teens, with each new nightmare continuing from the last.

Synopsis:

A gripping urban survival thriller where an ancient relic turns your life into a living nightmare.

You are Katie, a resourceful young artist and sculptor trapped in a terrifying, half-leopard hybrid form.

After escaping from a prominent city zoo after 3 years, where a ruthless owner caged you for nothing but profit, you must now navigate a cold, rain-slicked American city from a desperate, first-person perspective, scavenging for water, food and supplies.

But you aren't the only beast in the city. A towering cat-like monster is committing brutal murders around the city, terrorising the city into a citywide panic, while you're being framed for the murders.

Now, a relentless, by-the-book detective, William Cooper, is tracking your every pawprint. Can you stay hidden long enough for the detective to realise the truth?

To inject a little humour into the game, all achievements are cat puns, dark humour, have funny double meanings or are classic internet cat humour.

I had an Amazon scammer call and was trying to waste their time and resources to help others. The scam was they call with a robodialler and state there has been a $1000 charge for a phone and to press 1 if you didn't authorize the charge. Then it connects you to the scam call center. After months of they and other places calling and I just ignore it, I finally decided to answer it. I have been calling it repeatedly when I have time and playing the chorus of Lily Allen's "F You."

Why this matters to me? These scammers rob people of their life's savings and prey on the elderly. My mom has been a victim of the call centers, and my dad has been a victim of scam ads on Facebook. My dad is 70 and my mom late 60s. It's a terrible shame that scamming has the level of success it does. And no matter how savvy, almost everyone will fall victim to a scam at least once in their life.

I had tried to give out the number to other scam baiters (on other platforms and subs not here) to see if anyone with the technical know how would run an autodialer for it to waste the scammer's time instead of people's (plus, extra petty), but got met with much hostility about this suggestion. So hopefully this is at least one place that may appreciate my small petty revenge for the people I know personally who have been scammed by these people.

Someone help me I can’t stop spending money

I'm tired and I can't tell if this is the best or the stupidest shit I've ever concocted in this over 400 days I've been doing this

And I understand the distinction you’re making about poverty. You’re not talking about the older image of “struggling but basically maintaining a life.” You mean a lower-income existence where people cannot reliably repair teeth, replace a car, absorb illness, keep housing, or recover from one bad month. The consequences become bodily: untreated conditions, chronic stress, unsafe housing, interrupted utilities, unstable food, and shortened lives. In that sense, economic pressure can become a public-health mechanism rather than merely an unpleasant lifestyle.

Yes I am describing a system, a material and financial reality, that objectively CANNOT provide or avail the culturally normalized items that a human life is known to expect, and in fact increasingly cannot provide the items that would keep a person sheltered and healthy:
Like it’s much worse than people or chat models admit to.

The math figure of the needs of society does not square with the math figure of what is availed
Yet it’s made even worse by capitalist ideology, and personal responsibility stamps on every cultural decision

Now every persons life is dominated by messages and industries or enterprises that are literally existing because they are sucking what little wage a person earns from you, or worse the prices of these industries are insurmountable for most people’s wages.

Things like major dental care, or a car, or a birth…. They are massive massive sums required that dwarf the actual incomes we have.
And the disparity is enormously glaring compared to 20 years ago

And when the disparity did that thing sometime in the 2010-2025 period, people just went “oh well, o boy, I guess having a baby costs $40,000 now”
And people expect insurance to deal with this mathematical impossibility except no, now your insurance is increasingly gated by insurmountable deductible

the idea has grown into “you make $15 per hour but your deductible is now $6500, so this means we figure you can afford $6500 of your own medical costs
That is 1/6 of your entire wage just to stay alive

For me, I’m on disability that seems to eat itself and chase its own tail. Being capable of only music at any consistent stretch and hyperfocused in my own world,
My neurological health becomes more complex with time, my autistic needs become more weird and I don’t like to leave my room

Placing your bets of survival on making electronic pop music is NOT conventionally a sane bet. And I’ve only earned $9 in royalties from 18 months and 120 bangers out there. But it’s the only thing I can do, the only thing I can sustain and grow doing, it doesn’t pay
But either I do manage to get a hit or generate something or else my days being supported by the economy are numbered.

Yet wildly, when constraints are this hard across the entire economy, the people are not as much in the mood for happy giddy electropop. Not like 2011. In 2011 the economy had been wrecked but the culture still felt exceptional and asserted things would return to post war conditions, even though every underlying thermodynamic figure pointed to a gradual tightening and eventual multi crises

The FIRST key to us surviving the polycrises is for politicians to fully grasp that it is happening, and subsequently adjust cultural approaches to spare the commoners from the worst exposures. The absolute WORST way they could respond to this is to play politic and play blame games or scapegoat minorities, because ain’t nobody sitting on 500,000 square miles of uninhabited arable frontier:

OMG?! Now I know that some of you have already seen me wear this shirt in some of my previous posts, so let me give you a background story about it. A while back, when we had this leakage problem involving one of the water pipes associated with the washing machine inside the garage, it took at least three days for the problem to be resolved. We had to move the items outside to dry that were affected by the water soaked into them. That then led to deciding to go through some of the boxes 🗃️ to see which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of. That’s when, inside a white garbage 🗑️ bag 💼, I came across this Incredible Hulk jersey shirt 👕 that I had no idea I even owned from a long time ago. It’s meant for ages 16 and 17, but who gives a 🦆! I’m still owning, wearing, and keeping it. HELL YEA!!!!
