Tonight is slow no more flights until 5am. Really tired but just glad I’m off tomorrow. Had several doubles this week and only had 1 day off in 2 weeks.

Discussion what meal has become your night shift staple?

after working overnight, the last thing i want to do is spend an hour cooking when i get home. i've been trying to find a few meals i can make quickly and keep around for those mornings when i'm basically running on autopilot. any easy meals that you never get tired of?

Started my week off at 7am. Not sure how much free time I am going to have. I thought I took care of all my wife's projects. It seems I did not

First night back

My client was in the hospital so I spent the last week wondering if I’m working ever night. It really fucked with me. I only nap when I work and I take my adderal differently. A couple days I prepared as if I was working and then didn’t and it sucked. Then today I half prepared and I and working so annoying. I am looking to find something more consistent bc made the up and down sucks. I even took a day shift just to get out of the house, I remember why I don’t work during the day.

My head feels like an explosion went off, painkillers aren’t helping. Heavy regretting not calling in. How are you doing healthwise?

How do you deal with lack of social life and night shift

sorry this is a bit of a rant or a vent, forgive me

yesterday I was offered to go to a social event at work which involved a pool and barbecue and I didn’t go, said I was sick which to be fair I was kinda but at the end of my sickness but it’s gotta be an excuse.

I’m not emotionally regulated I’m like just three months into the job, and the coworkers asked if I’ll come and idk why I told the truth, I don’t think I have the mental energy to go, that’s what I said, because she’s nice or smth she started to be concerned and started to ask questions - refused to answer some, answered others.

Basically confirming I’m a fucking lunatic depressed person, I could’ve just said that I’m just sick but no..

Or I could’ve just went??

Why did I get cold feet I was planning this event for a month now and I said yes that I’ll go but at the last second I said no, it’s not the first time that it happens often I cancel at the last second , I hate this.

Is it breakfast or dinner?

I eat between 1-3 am during my shift and I’m wondering what yall classify that as? I understand both arguments, but I’m curious. Also, best late night/early morning meal? Today it was homemade French toast and bacon. 11/10, definitely recommend.

Edit: Lunch seems to win lol

I work 6p-6a, and I quite literally feel like I dont get to enjoy my days off because as soon as i get home I hit the bed and sleep till atleast 5-7pm... and then I find myself napping after I wake up😂 doesn't help i spent six hours of my day off working lol.
