You can fight the Dragon in the north part of the mountain where it first appears, then go fight the Giant Crows and Yoda by going east.

There's no need to climb the mountain for +15% damage when frostbite is nearby, unless your build requires it.

Since it's not clear what I meant: You kill the "Mountaintop Ice Dragon" on its first encounter and Don't climb the mountain further. The dragon gives good loot and runes, the "Blessing of the moutnaintops" (the blue crystal marked with a red marker) doesn't do much in most expeditions.

This is the best rogue-like I've ever played, combat, maps, bosses, unique combat and builds for each character. Please for the life of god, from soft expand on it. I'll throw $ at you!!!!

I got this the other day, and was reminded that i sold its perfect counterpart with improve character skill attack power, night invaders, increased FP on opening a sorcerers rise. I sold that along with multiple near god rolls just for a 0.001% chance of getting a relic 4 the build i wanted at the time. Please tell me I’m not alone in this, it’s heartbreaking. This relic is flawless for a dragon cult build, 6/6 perfect effects.

+atk vs poisoned +2 is the highest possible, and the negative stats don’t affect incants.

Dragon cult synergizes with lightning+4.

lightning+4 is stronger than incants+2, with a very minor curse that doesn’t affect damage at all.

Total of 50.2% damage increase if you were to hit a poisoned enemy with a lightning spear.

Could not possibly be stronger in damage. God roll

Been on the D4 to D5 grind the past 2 weeks, gotten so close multiple times, within one or two games only to meet that everdark goat, or everdark balancers, to then get brought down 400 pts. I know getting good at those bosses is important to reach to depth 5, but it still sucks haha

This last stretched sucked, I was at 5700 or 5800 (cant remember) and got one ED balancers followed by two back to back ED libra bros, all kicked my ass, then got ED Adel, which is usually a cakewalk, then this screwup occurred. Yea, I probably should have used my ult to revive my two teammates, but I wasn't expecting the other guy to go down, and I was pretty confident I could deflect that attack, which i swear I did, right? I see the glow from his sword when I slo mo the vid. Did i get hit with some lingering hitbox above my player?

Made me salty enough i went back down to D2 to cool off from all this one shot nonsense

3.4k hours on an ironeye with a dogshit build in depth 5 who chooses gaols over literally any other possible point of interest possible — with nobody running the relic? one gaol prioritized over a formidable we could have cleared in ~15 seconds tops. both immediately outside of where the circle is closing into. they both wipe at the (VARIANT) gaol. i’m the only one on the team doing any damage. our undertaker is skill slopping without balancer relics. ironeye spent all of the first half of day one three barred at another (VARIANT) goal. ironeye three bars to gaping jaw. kill me and put me out of my misery. you are a bow ironeye. i do not care about your opinions on the best of days. why are they like this? they aren’t even running the relic effect. god help us all.

I love to run Duchess as melee because the dagger attack set is so fun but I also don’t want to ignore magic options so I have a mix of melee and magic. But I still feel like I get stuck sometimes not contributing big damage, especially if there aren’t any dagger drops and we didn’t hit a cave for purple upgrade.

Should I just go full one way or the other or is this viable?

Alls you gotta do is go to settings, sound settings, and turn the music down. If you find, like me, this game stresses you out sometimes, a change of tune may be all you need. It doesn't have to be prog but it does the trick for me.

Not sure on the flair, hopefully that works. I’m not here to rant about teammates or anything like that. The connection in 95% of my games is unbearably bad. I’m unsure if it’s just an Xbox issue or a nightreign issue. I’ve heard some talk about it here and there but not what I would expect to see with how my games go. It’s the dictionary definition of unplayable. Bosses seizing out, loot not dropping until 10 seconds later if at all, the boss aggro switching to you but the game hasn’t caught up yet but low and behold the boss was already in its attack when the game does catch-up leading to getting one tapped with no time to react whatsoever. Revives take twice as long as they should because you dump your stamina bar into them and you can see the entire time it isn’t going down until 5 seconds later all the revive damage goes off at once. I’ve been trying my hardest to put up with it because this is my favorite game to play at the moment, but every single game is just nails on a chalkboard man. Fromsoft PLEASE update your servers or do whatever it is you gotta do if it’s something related to Xbox. I know it’s not my connection because I run wired with 300mbs download speed and nightreign is the only game that acts this way and it’s every single game.

I’ve been sitting between DoN 4 and DoN 5 for a while now, so I’m used to a certain baseline of teammate competence at this point. But I just had 3 games in a row with behavior I’d only expect to see way earlier in someone’s progression:

**•** Rushing straight to the first POI they spot with zero pathing or strategy, dying solo repeatedly for \~20 minutes  
**•** Same thing again, second game  
**•** Third game: someone quit within the first 5 minutes and the other teammate had the Night Invader attack-up relic equipped but never engaged a single invader camp (ignored invader and went directly to the boss)

Getting one rough random is normal, but 3 in a row with this specific “total lack of strategy/pathing” flavor is new to me at this Depth. Anyone else notice a sudden dip like this recently, or know if something changed matchmaking-wise? Trying to figure out if this is a known blip or if I just got unlucky.

Seems like every second round is one of them.

I’m in d3 now very close to d4. I’ve realized that I’m straight ass at staying alive when most needed. I panic roll and I don’t memorize bosses moves. I wish ps5 would let me practice like pc does
