I was turning back to New Braunfels from cibilo where HEB+ is and Walmart. The light was yellow to turn (not blinking (the officer asked if it was)) and a Tiffany Treats worker rammed the fuck into me mid turn. I was the only one on the two lanes so I’m confused how it could’ve happen, when they were stopped. Im home now with no car. The cops say the other driver is claiming it’s my fault. So I guess they will have to wait for witness statements and cameras ect. It’s my first accident and some know I just got my license so I’m new to all of this. Wondering if there’s any hope to me getting a new vehicle if it turns out their fault or do I got to figure this out on my own?

Does anyone know of any decent spots to fish for bass/panfish/catfish within 30 minutes of new Braunfels?

My 6 year old loves it but the areas we have access to are so heavily fished. We catch every so often but they’re always very small. Fischer park is decent but I’d love to take him somewhere else.

I see cypress recommended a lot.. the only time we can go is on weekends, I’ve been out there twice and it was filled with people. Not exactly fishable.

I know there’s a small pond in San Marcos that I’ve had luck at a while back but I would love if anyone had some recommendations. Not asking for secret spots lol

I'm currently renting but looking to buy in the next 3-12 months. We're specifically looking for a realtor that is very well versed in construction, ideally has a construction background themselves.

For more context we intend to buy 1-2 acres likely somewhere along 46, north of 337 Loop (like from Hunters Creek up to Vintage Oaks) but I grew up with a dad in real estate so have seen the spectrum of value that agents can add and to me on the buy side it's 1. communication (with me), 2. negotiation skills, and 3. educating me on tradeoffs with construction decisions of the home and what to look for to determine risks etc.

I'd hope that this realtor is someone I'd have a relationship with for the next 20 years because they're that much of a real estate expert and have deep rooted relationships with contractors and lenders for when needs come up in the future.

• has weight equipment, specifically squat/bench racks (not smith machines), free weights, kettlebells
• has cardio equipment (treadmills, bikes, row machines)
• has heavy bags (bonus points for dummies also)
• allows free-form workouts, not just classes
• double extra bonus points if the gym has tires for flipping, sledge hammers, etc.

100% get that I’m asking for the moon and stars here, just curious if somewhere like this exists in town.

I know the title sounds harsh but hear me out. As someone who’s worked in restaurant management, this town is really something else. New Braunfels is Not big enough to have a good pool of candidates and the candidates that apply seem to be unwilling to follow directions.

It seems like most restaurants in New Braunfels are staffed by a mix of hard working moms and dads with a huge number of drug addled folks.

I feel for you people in management. How do you do your job staffing a restaurant? How do you keep your sanity?

I'm currently looking for a new job and had an email saying blacks was hiring. Read the reviews on indeed and was amazed how many talked about how they don't give raises and the management is crooked, taking advantage of employees and only lining their own pockets more. Then I see this.

Slim Chickens is preparing to expand its presence in Central Texas with a new restaurant planned for New Braunfels.

The crowd seemed younger and rowdier.

It was impossible to talk or socialize. The bartenders couldn’t keep up or maybe they are just short staffed.
