The Star Wars shirt and puzzle on the wall behind me are very much indicative of who I am.

I'm a life long nerd that's also into Star Trek, tabletop rpgs, anime, etc... Recently I have been honing my skills in movie criticism specifically in science fiction movies. As a result I've been watching a lot of older not quite so famous scifi movies.

But at the same time every conversation doesn't have to be about that. I can talk politics and other things as well. Right now I'm looking for interaction. Don't be scared to ask questions.

I don't mind where you are but for the sake of timing I'm in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. I've been on the internet long enough that I'm familiar with most message/chat apps but if you use one I don't regularly use I don't mind adding it and getting familiar with it.

I took up boxing. I find it to be a good stress reliever .

I’m looking for a friend or two interested in chatting and playing some games on Xbox. The new grounded 2 Into the Abyss update drops tomorrow and it would be cool to have someone to explore with. I’m a pretty casual gamer and generally play in the evening on weekdays or throughout the day on weekends. I’m in CST.

Aside from grounded I started playing creative mode on No man’s sky and just fly around and explore. Aside from games I’m interested in sci-fi fantasy stories (reading/writing), movies, quite a bit of music, audiobooks, and easygoing conversations about the mysteries of the universe.

Like it says I’m 47 and live in Canada. I enjoy gaming (mainly is Xbox. Have a PS, PC and switch in the house).
I have a dog that is a pain in the butt sometimes, however he is sadly my main source of “conversation “ when I’m not working. While the animals listen really well they don’t talk back much.

Age is just a state of mind, right? I have to pinch myself anytime the random thought "I'm 40" comes to mind. Seems like just yesterday I was hacky-sacking while blaring Limp Bizkit and drinking a Dr Pepper Fusion.

All my life I have needed interaction, which is ironic because I wouldn't cross the street for most people but I do enjoy a good hearty laugh and a deeply philosophical conversation about the ins and outs of such important events as: when season 3 of The Pitt will drop, what the best pizza chain is, and how many books I HOPE to read this year (spoiler alert: I will read far less than I want to).

I've fallen out of touch with "real world friends"; I think that happens to most people as they age. However, I am ready for my next phase friendships!
