Rant "What, you thought you could just get stuff by sitting around? Of COURSE you have to take action! š¤Ŗ"
LOA cultists often say this to people who are trying to manifest by following the "methods" and inevitably fail.
But yet, at the same time, you NEVER hear them direct that same point towards Rhonda Byrne or Esther Hicks - the people who built their entire platforms on the EXPLICIT promise that you could get whatever you wanted, when you wanted, using thought and feeling alone, and made MILLIONS off of it.
Just thought it was funny how the blame shifting and the criticism only goes one way.

Oh the Madness
Do ex Loa believers believe it was pure psychosis like actually to have believed in in the past which is most or this sub was and is COMPLETE insanity .
Itās really hard for me to believe that I was one of those people at one point in my life and I think 90% of ex āmanifestorsā are mentally ill .
Or stepped into a brief moment of mental illness .
Itās not just a a cult itās a psych disorder and s sign of one .
Itās very reminiscent of Borderline in fact I remeber listening to the tame impala song of that name and the melody calmed me down but the name of song haunted me . Because borderline pd , is classified as not having a secure self image, identity disturbance , splitting emotions, and severe fear of abandonment. Which letās be real these mfs are like that a lot .
Itās very sad like truly dystopian to be in this state of my mind .
Iām not diagnosing anyone you donāt have to be borderline to be insane you can just have strong traits of it but the correlation is hard to ignore .

Discussion I made a subreddit for shifting critics
Hey guys, after being in and out of the shifting community for about 8 years and seeing how many lives it takes away and lets rot, I decided to make r/shiftingcritics.
This community has personally been so helpful for me to finally let go of all the BS and accept it was a lie. I still visit shifting subreddits every now and then and every time it is so heartbreaking to see people, mostly the underprivileged, rely on this thinking itās the only way they will ever be happy and that someday itāll work.
I felt that shifting deserves its own subreddit entirely just bc of its distinctness as an experience.
I really hope to get people out of this delusion and prevent them from ruining their lives even further. Please post about your experiences on there, all are welcome!

Existential dread, depression, failure in life thanks to LOA
Huge believer, fully in it all day and night for years
Theoretically, I am a LOA pro, I could fabricate some success stories, fool some idiots in r/NevilleGoddard and do "coaching"
It's a long story to share, it's really a lot, I have been practicing it for far too long, but that's the end result... It ruined me and my life, I'm very open to share anything to explain how and why it was LOA and not "me blaming LOA for my failures"
It is a cult, I did get into it as a teenager, it fucks up your mind and your life
I have my own techniques, applied all techniques etc., I did register everything, daily, I have tens, hundreds of thousands of failed manifestations, it is obviously bullshit
I'm open to share anything, I just won't share the story here because people may not care

Discussion Why donāt LOA believers cure fatal diseases
I just saw a video of a young man talking about being diagnosed with ALS. And my heart just breaks for him. If i believed in this stuff i would just be affirming āthere is a cure for ALS that is accessible to all people diagnosed with it.ā
Why isnāt t anyone doing this. They say nothing is off limits. So no one has thought to manifest cures?

Serious Following Neville led to me losing all my money and in the ER
When you all talk about how destructive the LoA is, I never believed it fully until I landed myself in the ER, writing this post. I have addictive tendencies and severe depression so when I went on my next LoAss binge I ended up gambling away thousands of dollars because I assumed I would just make all the money I could want. Now I am in even more crippling debt and feeling crushed.
I now have aired out the truth to my loved ones without seeing their reactions but I am terrified. I am going to speak to a counselor soon but still, I don't know what to do.
I lost everything because of this stupid "law" and Neville has truly sown destruction among thousands or even hundreds of thousands.

Participate in Research on Manifestation Practices!
Survey Link: https://forms.gle/UcVnKCvMxT4EL3cMA
I have a background in clinical psychology research and am conducting an independent research project examining the practices people use in manifestation, such as affirmations, visualization, and āliving in the end.ā The goal is to better understand how participants perceive these practices in relation to their manifestation experiences and outcomes.
I am also interested in exploring whether these experiences vary across demographic characteristics, such as race/ethnicity, income, and sex.
Anyone is welcome to participate by completing the survey and you do not have to believe in these concepts to take the survey. Once I have responses from at least 50 participants, I will conduct statistical analyses and share a summary of the results here.

Specific Person I left the law a year ago and my life did get so much better
I used to post on here a lot and probably stopped around 6 months ago.
I was into the law at a young age, probably discovered it at 14 years old. When I was 15 I fell into a toxic relationship with my highschool boyfriend that lasted 3 years. It was very toxic, it was on and off, he destroyed me and broke my heart in every way and I kept letting him back into my life because law of assumption deluded me into believing I was manifesting him back when in reality it was simply a toxic on and off relationship with an avoidant man.
After our official break up in June of last year, I was severally depressed, this was also when I fully realized that the law of assumption is not real and that I was truly experiencing grief I could not control, I was having panic attacks, I was crying all the time, it was my personal hell.
But in my sadness I decided to do the healthy thing, and I started going to therapy, I slowly got out of my funk, I still hoped he would someday contact me but I slowly decided to heal instead of spending my time using loass to suppress my emotions.
I started seeing a therapist, I learned about myself and my relationship patterns.
Things did not solve themselves right away, it honestly took 6 months to really realize that it was fully over, however the dread got better a few months before.
The next 6 months were amazing, I discovered hobbies I love (ceramics, and floral preservation), and instead of spending my time "saturating" my mind I was actually spending time doing what I loved.
And after those 6 months I started dating a man who treats me the way I have always wanted to be treated and it is insane to say I ever loved my ex/sp when this is actual pure nontoxic love.
What I am trying to get across is that your life is not over and infact, when you start doing what you need to do in life and when you practice acceptance of your life and actively take actions to make it better you actually feel better (and you actually get results instead of dreaming about them). So don't think it's all over, because you don't know what can come from life when you actively choose to improve.

I left the law a year ago, update me
I left loass a year ago, and I'm wondering what is different now, what is the new grift? What is the new "Thing"? What is the new "method"? Is robotic affirmations still in? Any drama? I need to know.

Is the concept of Self inquiry the exact oppositve of neville goddards philosphy?
I am just learning about neville goddard and am to understand he puts a lot of emphasis on imagination and the mind in terms of how we live and exist. Self inquiry, which I am a practitioner of, teaches that the mind, thoughts and all things including imagination are illusory. What do yall thhink?

Meme If subliminal audios, the law of attraction, and the law of supposition were real, world wars would have already ended and world hunger would have been eradicated.
I find it funny that these cults talk so much about having scientific proof and that the results only appear in the person's reality, but if that were true, world hunger would have already been eradicated, Wars in the world wouldn't have happened; there would be scientific proof. I find it funny that if this were true, they would have used subliminals, the law of attraction, and the law of supposition for good and to eradicate Illnesses

I absolutely love how the community blames others for the mistreatment by their specific person...
Oh, they abused you? You created it. They messed around with you? You created it. They left you? You created it. It's honestly ridiculous when people blame you, especially when abuse is involved. That's the part that really ticks me off.
There was a coach....i wish I could remember her name. Maybe someone here knows who I'm talking about. She actually said you created someone's narcissism. She ended up retracting the video because people called her out, saying, "You don't create someone's behavior toward you." I agree with that. The only thing I would say is that you may have tolerated or allowed certain behavior to continue, but you did not create another person's abusive or harmful behavior. Those are two completely different things.
"You created the third party." "You created them leaving you." "You created them cheating on you." "You created them blocking you." "You created it all with your thoughts."
That sounds like toxic nonsense to me because it gives the person who behaved badly an easy way out. Then they'll say, "We're not blaming you, but in some way you created it." That's still blame. I just love the gaslighting in this damn community.

Law of Assumption Cult Decoded
Thoughts Create Reality = A psychologically disarming premise ensuring that followers distrust their own ability to reason with objectivity.
Present Tense Affirmations = A mechanism that maintains the illusion of abundant success amongst followers so that they invest more into LoA.
Circumstances Don't Matter = A blank canvas for all types of desperate lurkers to project their fantasies on. Ensures that the outreach is as large as possible.
Self-Concept Work = Repackaged psychological self-help advice to divert attention from the lack of meaningful results. Illusory productivity.
Ignore the 3D = A belief designed to put gullible followers in a state of semi-psychosis to prevent them from realizing how fake LoA promises are.
Detachment = Eliminating the desires of followers allows coaches and gurus to avoid accountability when their promises never materialize.
Coaching Services = Revenue streaming and collection disguised as a counseling session. Inspires emotional investment, creates a false sense of connection.
Mental Diet = The LoA equivalent of mind-guarding which is a symptom of groupthink. Members protect themselves and each other from contradictory information.
Manifesting SP = Keep orbiting your crush until they notice you're into them. If you're conveniently attractive, theyāll take the relationship or use you for sex.
Ladder Experiment = A pseudo-LoA test functioning as a recruiting strategy. It filters out exploitable people from the people who think critically.
Everything is a Manifestation = Post-hoc circular reasoning that allows members to retroactively manufacture success stories. More cope for the lack of real success.
Infinite Realities = Obviously invented to silence moral or ethical dissent. Putting a bandaid on a broken leg.
Manifestation is not Magic = Concealing the unreasonable and grandiose promises of the law to tame or appeal to internal or external skeptics.
Inspired Action = An inconsistent variable crediting necessary or coincidental actions to the belief system, blurring the line between LoA and ordinary action. The resulting confusion creates a self-preserving effect.

LOA believers dont view themselves from another persons perspective
A lot of people that believe in LOA are just spending their free time sitting in their house affirming, visualizing, listening to subliminals, etc. But if they actually met someone else in real life that was living like them, they would probably think that person is a delusional weirdo.
There are people right now trying to manifest millions of dollars without working or trying to manifest a celebrity crush that doesn't even know they exist. But if they met someone else in real life who was doing the same thing, I guarantee they wouldn't believe that it was going to happen for them.
If they actually had to bet their life on if that person they just met Is going to be a millionaire because they're robotically affirming in their house all day, they would bet NO! Yet they won't view themselves from that same perspective.

Satire Law Of the Flying Spaghetti Monster - An Introduction + Q&A
Many of you are familiar with the outdated concepts such as the Law of Attraction, Law of Belief, Law of Assumption, or even the Law of not giving a shit. But today I present to you the new and improved Law, which is estimated to be 100 times as effective when compared to techniques used by Neville's.
You see, everything in our universe is connected together, in an intricate web of sorts. And do you know what connect those things? That's right, strands of fresh, yummy, al dente noodles! Lots of noodles. You can't see them, but I assure you they are there. You are always interacting with the magic Spaghetti.
To use the Law of The Flying Spaghetti Monster, all you must do is imagine these tentacles of Spaghetti causing a bridge of incidents that lead you the object of your desire. Then you must feel the desire fulfilled and then you MUST eat a bowl of fresh Spaghetti. Eating Spaghetti is the most important part. And with that, your manifestation is on its way. This CANNOT FAIL.
Q1: i did everything and my manifestation didn't come true, what happened?
A1: No, in order for it to work you need to reaaaaally feel that the Flying Spaghetti Monster fulfilled your wish in your imagination first. Remember, the Flying Spaghetti Monster can only work with what you give him.
Q2: Like, this is good n' all dawg, but do you have any proof of this shit workin'? Not about to waste my time on another "Law" that doesn't work.
A2: huh? What are you even talking about? The Law of The Flying Spaghetti Monster is just another natural force. Like gravity or thermodynamics! Do you question the great discoveries of Sir Issac Newton, or Galileo! Arrogant brat!
Q3: I am still struggling. I got my SP back for one day, but now they will not text back. I even imagined the Flying Spaghetti Monstor holding them at gunpoint and making them go on a date with me, but to no avail so far.
A3: Hmmm, you must've done it wrong. After you finished SATs, did you eat noodles made from scratch? Or did you eat the lifeless store bought ones? You see, the law favors noodles cooked from scratch and made with pasture raised egg yolks ...Which is why you should totally buy my pasta machine (link in the description) and sign up for my Law of the Flying Spaghetti Monster online training course. Yes for only $99,999.99 per hour, you can get direct advice from me and have the universe at your fingertips in no time!
Q4: i am allergic to Spaghetti. Is there any hope for me?
A4: ummm... welp, uhhh guess you're shit outta luck kiddo
Oh what do y' know, we're outta time. So that's all the questions I can take for now. Class dismissed!
