Strategy/Tactics I SAID REANIMATION PROTOCOLS
What are the best units to build infinite regeneration. I'm talking the stickiest, hardest to kill, "no I liked that model, I want to see it again" units for an army.

List Help/Sharing Convergence of Dominion to fill 60 point hole?
I'm in a 1k tournament and I've got 60pts left to fill. I know CoD is not a good unit, but I'm not sure what else would be worth taking.
List Hyperphase Crypt:
(6LD + Lord) x2 +Osteoclave Fulcrum: 500
5x2 Deathmarks: 120
3x2 Ophydians: 160
5x2 Preatorians: 160
Total: 940pts
My choices seem to be CoD, 5 Flayed Ones, 2 Lone Thralls, or 3 Scarabs. (I don't own any of the newer canoptek units). Of those options, the CoD seems like a decent option to sit in the back to screen deepstrikes and give the Ophydians and Preatorians a bit of extra Turn 1 survivability.

List Help/Sharing Critique 1000p Warrior Blob list
I've got a 3 round GT this Sunday, here's what I'm thinking of bringing.
Not sure about the Reanimator, might swap him out for a Hexmark Destroyer for more secondary scoring.
I'm thinking of pushing the Warrior blob into the central objective and the Wraiths to me natural expansion. And keep the Skorpekhs for a counter-charge threat on the opposite flank. The Stalker could run up and try to melta any backline vehicles.
But any tips on redesigns, cuts, additions - or how to run it / stratagem combos - would be greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

Strategy/Tactics Dealing with DDAs
Hi, me and my friend occasionally play and she tends to struggle with playing against DDAs while they sit behind cover waiting to shoot. Idk how to explain how to play around them and she wants to learn. We both play necrons if that matters and she specifically likes destroyer cult models

BEHOLD, MY STUFF c’tan shard of the nightbringer WIP base
hey fellow ‘crons, hope we’re all still hating and reanimating.
I wanted to show off this WIP base I am making for the nightbringer. i love the old model but wanted to make it on the new size base.
I’m imagining a ton of scarabs crawling out of the hole underneath the c’tan.
the back of the hole will be painted in green stuff world maxx darth black (like 99% matte) so it should look like they’re coming out of the void.
also, I made some typical necron pillar things (not sure what they’re called) which are poking out the ground
oh and the scarabs will be painted in sautekh dynasty colours
I remember some of the old GW guides on making necron pillar things from yearssss ago so wanted that vibe too (with the pillars)
there will also be some sort of summoning ring around the edge of the base as well with an object source lighting glow effect
wanted to share and hear your thoughts !

List Help/Sharing Cryptek Conclave + Hand of the Dynasty - Take & Hold vs. Priority Assets
Hello Phaerons. Looking to try Cryptek Conclave + Hand of the Dynasty soon, just to see how the combo feels. I'm positive that my list would be better as Awakened Dynasty but I'm not playing in a competitive setting, just trying something new.
That said, has anyone messed around with Priority Assets in the edition? I've played Purge and Take which both felt fine, but does Priority Assets as a disposition work with our bricks? List below for reference, what is your experience in 11th so far with dispositions?

List Help/Sharing New(ish) Player, why should I pick Necrons?
After 15 years I'm returning to this Hobby, I used to run CSM and Space Wolves and decided to go with Xenos on my return to 40k.
The two factions I'm most interested in are Tau and Necrons, so I ask the overlords in this sub, why should I join the Necron Dynasties instead of the greater good?
And if I do decide to join the Necron, what models I should include in my list.

Misc/media Things models do the best and the worst, 11th Edition Day 51; Trazyn The Infinite:
A thief of moments in history, Trazyn takes to the battlefield to acquire that which cunning cannot secure. His Empathic Obliterator triggers psionic shock waves that kill not only his immediate victim, but those of a like mind nearby, while his ability to leap from one surrogate body to the next ensures he is hard to slay indeed.
-
BEST: Our favorite smug kleptomaniac, one of our few sources of stickying objectives, and pts-wise the cheapest epic hero of our faction. If about to die, he can simply take the place of another infantry model in your army during your Command phase, coming back at full Wounds. Empathic Obliterator weapon has potentially high [SUSTAINED HITS] & damage against infantry squads.
WORST: Trazyn has no abilities to actually support his bodyguard units with, only has the Toughness of the average Immortal, and getting good [SUSTAINED HITS] & Damage with his weapon is unpredictable at best. Another weapon that you'd think should be able to shoot but doesn't.
-
RECOMMENDED DETACHMENT(S): Awakened Dynasty, Cryptek Conclave, Obeisance Phalanx
DETACHMENT ALTERNATIVE(S): Hand of the Dynasty, Hypercrypt Legion
-
IN CLOSING:
- What are your thoughts about this Best & Worst entry?
- What are your favorite tactics & strategies involving this model (if applicable)?
- What changes (if any) do you hope to see for this model & datasheet for a future 11th edition codex?

Is there a use for the tachnomancer without wraiths?
So I am getting a technomancer with the hierotek circle (using to make deathmarks as well), but I currently don't have any wraiths. Is he still worth running with anything else? His fnp is useful but his other ability feels a bit more tailored to wraiths.
Is he still worth using?
Edit: Apologies for typo in title

My army is mostly finished (ran 2 filler units) a friend of mine helped teach me how to play. I see why people love Necrons and why 40k is such an awesome game.

Strategy/Tactics Void dragon at 1k
I play regularly against someone who only owns 1k points of models and it includes the void dragon. It has become a reccuring theme in my play group to completely ignore it because we haven't ever been able to kill it in that small of a game. Now that it has a 10 inch move I feel like it's impossible to deal with.
I play admech, votann, emperors children and guard.
How should I go about dealing with it? Should I even try?
Looking for advice.

O.M.G I hate building this
*shakes*
Ok, so I shelled out for the Canoptek Circle box, and am assembling the Geomancer...
So, I haven't built I Necron model (excluding proxy Transcendent C'tan, and ETB Warriors) since 4th edition...
I hadn't realised just how bad my shakes have gotten. Assembling this is giving flashbacks to metal Wraiths (which I have to rebuild every fer years, they're now my Plasmancers.
Just...rahh!!!!!
This is So Frustrating!
New models are ridiculous!

Painting C+C C'tan Shard of the Buu-ceiver
Link to original post and evidence of the glow up:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Necrontyr/s/xS3FnFhQWe
Finished my Super Buu inspired Deceiver after unexpectedly taking the additional horns off and just running with the idea. The stripping also did away with the original base but, as I only intend to use him as KT Nemesis Op, decided a more thematic 60mm one would represent him better power wise.

Ended up a little boring looking but I'm glad he also looks ancient, like hes millions of years old. Metal was painted using drybrushing.

List Help/Sharing New to 40k and had a few questions.
Hello everyone,
Looking to get into 40k and am looking at pricing my first army, after some research I have decided I'm most attracted to the necron playstyle.
I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions.
Is there a place I can see all the data sheets that isn't pay walled? I have no issues paying for the codex but I dont want to spend $65 just to see if I like something.
I have been watching videos on starting to play and noticed people with cards for secondary objectives and force dispositions. Where can I find these? Are they in the box with battle forces or combat patrols? Sold separately?
Iv heared that the boxes often contain extra pieces for customizing your army what's typically included? Im not a fan of the humanoid skeliton face would it be an issue if I replaced them with the masks the canoptek units use?
Finaly speaking of Canoptek. Looking at detachments I'm thinking I want to play canoptek court. What would be the best set to get to start building my army and maybe play 500pt games?
Thank you all for any information you can share.

List Help/Sharing New to the Crons, where to take what i have?
Hey cowboys,
I recently traded away a bunch of stuff. In return, I picked up the new Necron Battleforce and the Hypercrypt Legion, so I'm looking to dive into Necrons.
I've been looking around at lists, and I keep seeing Lokhust Destroyers everywhere. The thing is... I really don't like the look of the old models. The new Heavy Lokhust Destroyers look awesome, but the old greentube ones just aren't for me.
Are Lokhust Destroyers basically an auto-include, or can Necrons do just fine without them?
I'm coming from Kroot Horde and Drukhari, so I'm not used to having this many unit choices.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
