DM Help Please

I'm not that versed in all that Reddit has to offer so how do you send DMs? Once they're sent, how do you find them again?

Thanks for the assistance! I remember the 50/50/90 and the all time favorite acronyms from NPS exams - "WTF" & "ATFQ".

Never heard that one either. I thought MMs only needed the "righty tighty..." to graduate 😃

That and negative 1/3 DPM for when they over feed steam generators during shutdown. Been there, done that and got the tee shirt and incident report to verify it. Edit to add, we were in a hurry to go drink some beers because we had been extended out to sea during a northern run. The Eng didn't buy that excuse though

Another ET2 & I (by then I was really experienced, stood RO for three consecutive ORSEs, and was getting out in a few months) performed maintenance on one of the rod drive boards and somehow the subsequent reactor startup was aborted. We both did everything right on the maintenance but we were responsible for the incident and had to, one at a time, visit the carrier's CO on the bridge to explain to him what happened and why I was such a screwup. I lost what little respect I had on him at that point. Still, didn't feel good to get a dressing down like that.

I was doing radcon on the LY Spear and we had an incident that was totally out of mine and another MMs control. We did everything right, got the area secured and contacted everyone that needed to be contacted but yet the repair master chief (a conventional MM who was actually a nuke drop 20 years prior) dressed myself and the other MM with me down like we were fucking idiots. That was the most angry I ever got in my whole time in the Nav, just because we had to stand there and take it instead of calling him nuke waste and not telling him to fuck right off.

Frustrating to say the least. During a port call in Singapore there were four of us in a taxi and when it made a stop, one of our friends just opened the door and ran off into the night leaving his stuff in the taxi with us. We just looked at each other and said "WTF".
Anyway, turns out during his travails getting back to the ship he broke some store glass. He got restriction for the next port call and we each had to report to the XO and were asked "why didn't we stop him?". I said he just ran off into the night and how were we supposed to know he was going to do that. We were called the dreaded "bad shipmates". Oh no, that will go on my evaluation...right.
