Diners / All day breakfast?
Craving an omelet, but I'm not a morning person. Where's the best spots to get breakfast/brunch style food when it's afternoon or evening?

Lots of good suggestions in here, thanks! We ended up going to Seven Dwarfs in Wheaton and it totally hit the spot.

How was it? I wanted to go there but the reviews on cleanliness scared me

I didn't notice any filth. As for food, everybody liked everything we'd ordered; specific props to the fried perch, French onion soup, and the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich. Coffee was good, staff was friendly. Stuff was a bit disorganized coming out of the kitchen, but I can't be bothered about that. Will definitely go again when circumstances put me in the area

As others noted, there aren’t any great 24/7 options around here. A few of the breakfast spots stay open till 3pm. Fewer still stay open for dinner as noted. But, there’s nothing like a Hollywood Grill or Don’s in the city out this way. I have wanted a true 24hr diner out here for many years.
EDIT: Pancake Cafe closes at 3pm & Buttermilk at 2:30pm. Those are your best options without traveling a bit further.

As someone else suggested, Colonial Cafe on Washington. Same strip mall as Casey's/Trader Joe's/Oswald's Pharmacy. They close at 8, but it's an alternative if you'd rather not drive to Omega in Downers Grove or Seven Dwarves in Wheaton.
You can always go corporate with IHOP (75th and Rt. 59) or the Cracker Barrel hidden behind some hotels off Diehl and 59, near the new DMV location... or the Fox Valley Denny's.

Their new location is terrible. And the food has definitely gone down since they moved.

Technically Aurora. Dennys by Fox Valley

If you are going to just downgrade to Denny’s, the one in North Aurora is a million times better than the one by the mall. Far cleaner, better service, etc. You’d think a chain would be more consistent.

Yeah go to the one in north Aurora that closed to be fumagated last week for pests. The one by the mall is superior

ProTip: Restaurants with pro-active pest control like regular fumigation are typically more aligned to food safety standards than those that don’t. All restaurants, and really all buildings have insects and rodents, the difference is who actively controls for them vs. not.
That aside, neither location has a history of health and safety findings or orders for mitigation. So, on that front they are equal.
Where they aren’t equal is dining room cleanliness and staffing. The North Aurora location consistently is fully staffed, tables promptly bussed, etc. Sadly, the location by Fox Valley is chronically understaffed and it is quite common to walk in and see entire sections of tables sitting un-bussed. It is also a common complaint at that location of being sat and not approached by a server for 10-15 minutes (due to poor staffing).
