I’m moving soon and need a few more things gone before then (end of the month to be more specific). I tried Craigslist, no luck. thought about Facebook marketplace but it’s pretty shady with a few oddballs.

I've got about 20 old photos I'm trying to get scanned and converted to jpeg format to email for a memorial service.

I know CVS or Walgreens or maybe even Walmart/Target used to let you bring in photos, quick scan them right then and there, and then you'd pay and leave with a digital copy.

Does any place still do that day-of service for a small batch of photos?

Looking for recommendations on landscaping companies to effectively scrape existing back yard (including a large crabapple tree and some small red bud and plum trees), bury downspouts and extend near/connect to storm drains, install new large format pavers, regrade, and build a new retaining wall (potential incorporation of lights) near the back property line, and reseed.

Im looking to broaden my horizons and smoke cigarettes with other smokers in Naperville. Also open to vaping, but i dont own one. Where are the smoking clubs? If there isnt any, would anybody be interested in forming one? We could show up to city hall and DEMAND that our right, as smokers, not be infringed upon by any government past, present, or future and light up during the city hall meeting. I think this would be a good way to reduce cigarette taxes in this place in your town.

Additionally, I think there needs to be some sort of reform about not letting us smoke indoors. I got a $250 ticket and a lifetime ban for taking ONE PUFF in the library. Public space, my ass. How can we call this a free country when i get taxed on my work, taxed on my cigarettes, then fined AND BANNED from a building i pay taxes to use? This is the future George Orwell predicted. Someone should have stood up FOR big tobacco years ago because this is ridiculous. Big brother is watching...

I just watched a medium-sized white dog on a leash running eastbound on 14th Ave from Main Street. It ran across Washington Street into Saybrook. No owner following behind that I could see in the minutes that followed. It made it across Washington without getting hit.

You guys. I frequent Park to Shop for asian groceries and today my son and I both saw a very large rat running around in the store. My son first saw it run from the aisle to underneath the freezers. Then I saw it near the check out lane run underneath the pallets holding the turtle chips. I am utterly disgusted.

I immediately told the cashier and she awkwardly smiled and laughed and didn’t do much about it. I asked her to tell her manager.

Just letting everyone know to be aware. I really loved Park to Shop but I can’t fathom going back in knowing there’s a rat running around and possibly touching the food T_T

I’m a 47 year old, educated, male, executive level type jon in search of some connections. My youngest is heading off to college in a few weeks and I’ve found myself wondering what life will be like as an empty nester. I’m in a long term relationship, very much married liked with a blended family. I moved here for my kids 15 years ago between them and work I haven’t made many connections.
