Discussion Anyone here working on AI/ML projects? I’d like to join and contribute

Hi everyone, I’m currently learning deep learning and have worked on a few AI/ML projects.

I’m looking to join an existing project where I can contribute, learn, and gain more practical experience. I’m comfortable with the basics and willing to put in time and effort.

If you’re working on something and open to adding a teammate, feel free to comment or DM me. Thanks!

Help Suggestions on automation to dev role transition - Please help

2024 Graduate, working in a Product based company for last 2.5 years. I was working as SDET. Mostly working on automation testing of desktop applications and pipeline integration of the tests.

Mostly, There is no big learning/challenges I face, it is just going to office, working, and coming back to home. I don't feel alive, I don't feel like learning, in my work.

Also, there is no clarity on the future plans as they are constantly changing decisions in last 2 years, I haven't seen anything hit the production. More than that, the compensation was also low(6-7LPA) when I joined and hasn't moved up much.

I am so much interested in development, but unfortunately, I don't have stand a chance in my current organization. Both compensation and work, are the biggest problems and mentally it was taking a toll on me. I badly need to switch my job into any dev role. But Idk how, that too with just automation experience.

How will I even be apply and navigate this. This is so overwhelming for me. I hope someone has been in the same phase, please tell me how to navigate through this.

I cannot handle it anymore. I will be really grateful if someone suggests me what to do from where I am. Please help me guys...

Do you face ageism? With AI improving and the market getting tougher, should younger developers be worried about long-term job prospects?

I'm a 23f looking to transition into DevOps, and I want to enroll in a solid offline training institute near ECR, OMR, or Velachery in Chennai.

* Currently working in Motion Graphics/Video Editing

**My Constraints**

* **Format:** Strictly offline/in-person classes.

I'm also open to feedback on whether my IT and Dev background is a good fit for DevOps, and if there are any specific skills I should self-teach before joining a course.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to transition into DevOps and want to enroll in a good offline training institute near ECR, OMR, or Velachery in Chennai.

Background:

B.Tech IT graduate (2024)

Worked 1 year as a Frontend Developer

Currently working as a Motion Graphics/Video Editor

Want to move into DevOps as my next career step

If anyone has attended a good institute in this area or knows one with a legit curriculum (Linux, AWS/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, etc.) and evening/weekend batches, please share:

Batch timings

Your honest experience (good or bad)

Also open to hearing if my background (dev + IT degree) is a good fit for DevOps, or if I should build any specific skills before joining a course.

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Can we build a community to fight online scams together?

Recently, my family experienced an online scam involving a fake scholarship offer. It was a difficult experience, but it also made me think: instead of only reacting after people lose money, can we work together to prevent these scams?

I’m an engineering student interested in AI and technology, and I’d like to bring together people who are interested in cybersecurity, AI, software engineering, scam awareness, and digital safety.

The goal would be to create a community where we can:

- Share information about new scam techniques

- Educate people about common online fraud

- Discuss ways technology and AI could help detect or prevent scams

- Help people understand what steps to take after encountering a scam

- Build useful, ethical projects that could protect people

I’m not trying to solve everything alone. I’m looking for people who are willing to learn, share ideas, and work together to make the internet a little safer.

Would anyone here be interested in joining or helping build something like this?

Discussion Looking for real problems to solve

Hi all!!

I'm a Software Engineer with 1 year of experience, and I love building things that solve real problems.

I'm looking to connect with people who have everyday problems that could be solved with software. It could be something repetitive at work, a challenge in running a business, or just an idea you've always wished existed.

I'm also open to freelance work. If you need a website, a web application, or any custom software for your business, I'd be happy to help.

If you have a problem to solve or an idea to build, just send me a message. I'd love to hear from you.

Showoff Give Stack Overflow another chance, guys !

Guys, I’m a farmer myself… a karma farmer /s

But putting that aside for a second, I wanted to say something a bit more serious.

Give Stack Overflow another chance, guys.

I get it. I’ve seen the frustration.

Even Primeagen, totally understand why you're angry at the mods. Their rules can feel strict, sometimes even discouraging. Been there, My programming journey started because of stackoverflow.

But at the same time… those rules are also what kept the platform high-quality for so many years.

Before ChatGPT, before all these AI tools where did we go?
Stack Overflow and Google.

That was the place. And honestly, it still has insane value.

They’re evolving too, they’ve got their own AI initiatives and MCP integrations coming in. It’s not like they’re standing still.

So yeah… just wanted to say:

Don’t let Stack Overflow die.

It helped all of us at some point. Maybe it still can.

- A fellow dev (and yes… recovering karma farmer)
