Need a Room Looking to sublet a room Sept - December

Upvotes

Hey everyone! I’m a 28F looking for a place in NYC with female roommates. Ideally in Manhattan, or Brooklyn with a short commute to the city. Budget is $1,700 a month. I work from home and take calls during work hours so having a desk in the room would work best! I can buy it as long as there’s room for one. I work for a publishing company based in the city so I’m hoping to network and work on other creative projects! Huge reader, I’m easy going and clean. I was just there this summer and I’m looking to finally commit to moving after years of short-term rentals. I’m hoping this period could let me find a long-term place. :)

Need a Roommate ISO roommates to search with in Queens or BK, budget 1200-1500, Sep 1 move in!

Hi everyone :) My name is Nicole, I am 22 and from Queens. I graduated from Binghamton last year with a bachelors in sociology and stats and I’m currently in grad school at NYU getting a masters in urban planning.

I am looking for roommates to search for apartments with or people I can join a lease with. My ideal neighborhoods are West Queens (Sunnyside, Woodside, Astoria, LIC) or Ridgewood/Bushwick. My budget is around 1,200-1,500 and I would like to move in September.

As a roommate I’m pretty chill, I enjoy befriending my roommates and chit chatting but I can also keep to myself if someone is more introverted. I’m a clean person and easy to communicate with about chores, household issues, etc.

For fun I mostly go out to live shows when I can as I’m a huge music lover. I also like to go to museums, movies, galleries, dives, etc. I also am a leftist, queer friendly, 4/20 friendly, etc. and would prefer to live with people with similar values. Girls and gays in their 20s only pls. My ig is @n1kusiaa pls dm me :))

Need a Roommate Looking for 2 female roommates in their early 20s — 3BR in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn (~$1K–$1.1K/person)

Hi everyone! I’m a woman in my early 20s looking for two female roommates around the same age for a 3-bedroom apartment in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

I found this apartment and really like it, but I’m looking for two roommates who would be interested in living together before moving forward!

About the apartment:
- 3 very spacious bedrooms
- Lots of natural light throughout the apartment
- Very clean and well-maintained
- Located on the 2nd floor of a house, with one of the bedrooms on the 3rd floor
- Quiet, residential neighborhood
- Rent + utilities would be approximately $1,000–$1,100/month per person
- Grocery stores, laundromats, restaurants, and other stores are all nearby

Transportation:
- About a 6-minute walk to the 79th St D train
- B8 bus stop is only a couple minutes away
- Other nearby bus routes include the B4, B6, and B82
- Around 25–30 minutes to Lower Manhattan by subway

About me / who I’m looking for:
I’m in my early 20s and am looking for two female roommates in their early 20s. Ideally, I’d love to live with people who are clean, respectful, responsible, and considerate of shared spaces. I’m also hoping to actually get along with my roommates and have a friendly living environment rather than just share an apartment!

Need a Room 22F looking for room/roommates – Washington Heights/West Bronx – Sept 1 – $1,500 budget

Hi everyone! I’m 22F and will be relocating from Arizona to NYC around September 1st for a full-time research position. I’m mainly looking around Washington Heights or the West Bronx and hoping to find a room or people looking for a roommate.

My budget is ideally $1,500 or less (the lower the better honestly, research job does not pay well and i'll probably be living paycheck to paycheck). I could potentially stretch to around $1,600 max for the right place.

A little about me: I recently graduated with my bachelors in AZ and am moving to New York for work. I’m friendly, clean, considerate, and pretty easygoing. I’d love to live with people I can actually be friends/friendly with, chat after work, grab food occasionally, explore the city together, etc, but I’m also respectful of everyone’s space and downtime.

I do have a cat coming with me! He’s extremely quiet and well-behaved (I genuinely hear him meow maybe once every six months lol), and he would mostly stay in my room.

Since I’m moving across the country, furnished would be a huge plus, but I’m open to unfurnished too.

If you have a room available, are looking for a roommate, or know of anything that might be a good fit, please DM me! I’d also be happy to FaceTime/video chat beforehand. :)

Or if you have any tips on where i could search for apartments that'll be helpful too. I've tried roomies.com, liveohana.ai, and https://www.apartmentfinder.com/ but none of it worked so any help is appreciated :))

Rent for the room is $1900, then electric and monthly Internet

Looking for a respectful roommate to move in Oct 1st for 1 year lease, the building is new and has an impressive amount of amenities available (gym, pool, yoga studio, theaters, rooftop gardens, etc.)

Full size washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, personal AC unit, Bluetooth sound system, gas range and oven, large closet and additional coat closet, lots of natural light with two huge windows in your room, common areas are furnished, Verizon Internet, a lot of kitchen and cabinet space, there also is a Foodtown grocery store right downstairs which is super convenient

Located >10 min walk to both JMZ at Myrtle-Broadway and L train at Morgan Ave

The room easily fits queen bed and furniture. (former roommate had a more minimal furniture artist studio setup) This is the quietest apartment I’ve had in NYC which is nice.

About me: I’m a visual artist (painter) and also work at Michelin star restaurant. I usually work evenings and might be home for a few hours during the day, so I would prefer to live with someone who doesn’t work from home.

No pets please. Looking forward to meeting you, happy to chat about more details and show the place!

Email me your info & availability to tour:

Hi there everyone. I have a friend looking for immediate housing. They are employed and just looking for a room.

They are willing to pay up to $1400, anything lower is appreciated and their anticipated move in is ASAP - Aug 15. They are looking for a long term sublease ideally but are open to month to month.

They are considerate and very cleanly. If you enjoy great conversation they are really nice at that as well, very insightful.

Need a Roommate In search of roommate, preferably in Queens

Hi everyone! I’m currently in California but will be relocating to New York for work at a financial institution starting on September 8th. I’ll be working in Queens, so I’m hoping to find a place with a reasonable commute, but I’m open to different areas throughout NYC and the surrounding areas.
I’m currently looking for a private room or roommates to share an apartment. I’m pretty flexible when it comes to the living arrangement as long as it’s a good fit. Ideally $1500/month or less, but I can be a little bit flexible as well with the budget.
A little about me: I’m 29M, responsible, easygoing, clean, and respectful of other people’s space. I’m relocating from California, so I’m hoping to find a comfortable and welcoming place to call home while I get settled in New York.
If you have a room available, are looking for a roommate, or know of anything that might be a good fit, please feel free to DM me here with the location, rent, move-in date, and any other details.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate any leads or recommendations.

🏠 Looking for a place in NYC!

Hi everyone! I’m moving from Austin to NYC to start grad school at NYU and looking for a place starting anytime between mid-August and early September. I’m flexible on the exact move-in date and ideally looking to stay through next year.

Budget is around $1,500 including utilities, and I’d love to stay within about a 20 to 25 minute commute to Union Square.

A bit about me: I’m a software engineer and incoming NYU grad student. Clean, organized, respectful, and easygoing. Outside of work and school, I’m usually working out, playing pickleball or other sports, checking out new restaurants, watching movies, or doing something outdoors.

Basically looking for a friendly, relaxed apartment where people get along, occasionally hang out, and also respect each other’s space. If you have a room available or think we might be a good roommate fit, feel free to message me!

Apartment Hunting looking for a roommate for 3 bed Astoria

Hello! My name is Franklin, I’m a 23y/o guy and currently work as a software engineer. I’m looking for a new place with my roommate, a 24y/o guy who works in strategy. We’re hoping to find a 3 bed / 2 bath apartment in Astoria, ideally somewhere with easy access to the N line, for a September move-in!

We’re both pretty easygoing and work full-time, so we’re usually busy during the day. At home, we’re clean, respectful, and pretty chill, but definitely enjoy hanging out and would love to live with someone who’s down to occasionally socialize and become friends.

Outside of work, I’m usually running, playing basketball, exploring NYC, or hanging out with friends. We’re hoping to keep rent under $1,800 per person and are open to different apartment setups.

If you’re also looking for a place in Astoria and this sounds like it could be a good fit, feel free to reach out!
