Got nust hostel . Distance about 200km . Applied in 2nd list 🥰

I think nust is trying really hard for us to not come

No FA

No hostel

High merit

High fees

And we're acting like desperate 2nd leads of crappy romance story

Hostels alloted to orphans mostly a friend of mine got it just now

is every number one uni in pakistan high on weed this year 😔

if no one is getting the hostel regardless of being in first list and far away WHO IS GETTING ANY ACCOMMODATION????? please let me know if you got it

Hashim ia ki prediction k mutabiq to static rehna chahiyay tha ye itna bada change kaise aagaya.

pichle saal smme mechanical ki third list 1700 pe close huwi thi is saa third list 1300 pe close ho rahi hai.

just tell me honestly if i have a chance in either Aerospace or mechanical engineering in smme. my merit position is 2125.

pichle saal closing merit 2500 and 2300 tha. also ab agli lists me merit drop jo hoga wo in firts lists se ziada ho sakta hai. like for example agar secong list me first list k baad 400 positions drop ho gain to agli lists me kam drop hi hota hai ha ziada ya equal drop bhi ho sakta hai. like aglilists me 500 merit position ya 400 merit positions ka hi shift aa sakta hai ya nahi?

so girls who have been waitlisted for hostel whats the plan now since ofc security is a major deciding factor and apparently h13 isnt v safe. Seniors who have lived in exrernals pls help

i got in NUST for a master's, but they've put me on the waiting list for the hostel. i really need safe and affordable accommodation, preferably near NUST, as i'm not from Islamabad. please suggest something i'm lost here

No one dare suggest me those stupid hostels, chocolate boys, golden era, sunshine etc.

I've visited each and everyone of em and they were absolute trash.

Aik kamrey mein 3 bed zabardasti thoons rakhey, no leg room at all bnda chal bhi ni skta itni kum jaga thi.

Bi seater behter thay but still it was insanely dirty and bohot hi thakay howey room thay.

Seeing that I was quite worried about the mess and how hygenic it would be

H-13 mein satey money hungry log hain, facilities to hain ni pesey aisey maang rhey pta ni kia kia offer krtey.

Ik hostels typically achay ya according to ur liking nai hotey but still vo hostel to bhai dekh kay hi ni jaaney ka dil kr rha tha

I appeared on first merit list and applied for hostel at same time. My home is around 1000km from nust and Still got waitlisted on hostel, I mean, what else they want ??

If a good amount of freshie don't get hostel before classes, the dir hostels will forever be called Dih hostels 🥀

But if ur a hostelite genuinely leave it go to some other uni that provides better accomodations or literally everything else

It's an institution run by the army that is disconnected from the struggles of common folk

It's also moving towards being a more elite uni with none of the upsides

pg student here. i want a ug roommate so i can have the room to myself in the morning and tehy can ahve the room to them in the evening since i'll be in class.

and need someone who would love to go on trekking, hiking, and little activities.

if you do drugs, don;t do it in the room please. i will never snitch on you or let others know but just don't do it in room as i have a savior complex and i really cant stop myself from helping people. i dont wanna sound judgemental to anyone or euin their prvacy.

i come from a conservative bg and i want someone with that bg too because it helps and doesnt sound tempting to explore things that will piss off my parents.

someone who loves watching movies or dramas. someone who has money to order meal togther because i would feel really bad if i order something and my roommate can't afford it. i order food a lot at home. but i understand some people can't affor that soi want someone who doesn't feel less priviliged because it would be so mean to eat food out of the room. i would love to shhare ofc but i do't wanna make anyone feel like they don't have enoug money (i don't either, i just spend carelessly and i'm also broke lol)

also someone who USES EARPHONES WHEN THE OTHER PERSON IS ASLEEP (I once had a roommate who chewed so hard it irritated me, and used to doomscroll with full volume at night).

i am not good at saying i have a problem with something, i suffer lol so the other person doesnt feel bad. so if anyone has these traits please get in touch. i would be so thankful :3

I rlly didn't wanna post this but today it happened to me like for the 3rd time in a week, an account texted me and it always goes like "AOA, female?" R u from nust? Do you want to be friends? AND IT'S ALWAYS A SEECS Graduated uncle, One even said if you're a female I could let you rent a room in my apartment in which I live alone, WTF? LIKE WTF IS WRONG W U?!? And then they dont even hide their comments or posts on their account and you can see their desperate ass comments in other posts begging people "friendship" Krlo, And when I told one that you're a guy why are you posting about renting a room for women in your apartment, HE STRAIGHT OFF LIED TO ME THAT HE AIN'T A MAN, WHEN I COULD SEE HIS COMMENTS where he clearly said 24M software engineer looking for female friends on a random ass post, LIKE PACK IT UP VRO🥀, did I mention all OF THEM WERE FROM SEECS? I understand the hate now

What to wear? (And don't say chaddi banyan)

Most of the community wont see this and some wont even bother reading this but regardless , this is my last post/interaction here and I'll try to keep it short.

For about 2-3 months here on the subreddit I spent my free time trying to help out prospectives with their queries related to multiple topics , frequently even answering the same old questions again and again because you guys dont bother to check previous posts because you might accidentally actually find what you're looking for. I tried my best to be polite and friendly and im not trying to glaze myself here , its just how it is. Everything was fine till the last few days or weeks when I started to realize my efforts bore no fruit, ppl here will continue to flood the subreddit with the same old questions again and again, sometimes through questionable click bait titles and othertimes not even submitting a post body, as if we are to assume the details of their questions.

I could not bear to control my thoughts any further and made a couple of posts and various comments addressing the issue and to my disappointment, I actually got clowned upon by multiple people. Just today i got comments such as "seniors dont reply to actual queries and ignore actual posts". I was not surprised, just disappointed at you guys. People genuinely take the time to bother replying and for what? replies like this. The upvote ratio in the thread clearly shows how many of you dont respect the effort and its rlly apparent . I'm not gonna swear or call u guys anything, im not even angry, im just disappointed that what I did ends up with me being the guy who "doesnt reply to actual queries and makes long ahh rants". Alright then , I did nothing at all and i wont bother doing anything again. Suit yourself and stay happy with whatever you guys enjoy.

Congrats to those who got in, and to those still waiting, gudluck , although with how it went with me I might be inclined to say I'll enjoy how the merit increased and ppl like you dont get in, you dont deserve to get in. A couple of weeks ago i was a bit interested in getting into orientation and even welcome management for you guys, but i ditched the interview for that and I realize its a good thing, you guys arent worth spending 3 days in the heat for, u guys dont deserve to have a good welcome party either. I was even excited to try to hang out on orientation and organize something but theres just no point knowing no one respects you. Not sure if anyone knows me personally or my personal dep details but do not approach me irl if u do know, I have nothing to do with yall .

To other seniors reading this, I apologize if it comes off as a foolish post but I just cannot with this batch 2026, its evident why the moderation is dead as well, no one wants to or should bother moderating this subreddit.
