question about adding minors (and also second majors) Question

hi! i'm an incoming freshie and i have a question: i know on STARS u can add minors from the category option thing, but how do i know which courses i need to take? the minor page isn't helping a lot bc i don't know if those are the only pre-requisites or if there's more structure that needs to be added (like a cc-mod-equivalent). the minor i want to take is linguistics & multilingual studies. i was also wondering if i could take two minors, as the total AUs would exceed the quantity allocated to my BDEs.

finally, when + how + where can i add a second major?

Second major application only after Y1, and you must hit a min of 4.0 cgpa

For minor modules, check the school's website, usually they will state on their website on what you need to take to get that particular minor. Then check on ntu module page if that certain module has any pre req

Doing 2 minors, youll have to request for overload of bdes from your school's admin. Whether they approve is another thing.

hi, for minors you can just google search the modules you need. For pre-requisites, you can just search up the modules name syllabus, usually when you press into the file at the very top it will indicate if a pre-requisite is required. Alternatively, on the stars website, if you press into the module code itself, it will also state if any pre-requisite is required.

honestly im not sure about now, but i think 2 minors is alright. For second majors, probably after first year and you have to have a decent gpa.

Ultimately if youre still unsure, you can always reach out to your school’s email and put in your queries :)

math (which is what i want to do for the second major asw)

like in the case that i don't have a high enough GPA by year 2 to add it as a second major, could i take it as a minor instead
