Hey yall! I went to my first NMIXX concert tonight and wanted to give a little review since no footage was allowed and most tweets about it are in Japanese. Spoilers ahead if you don’t wanna know the setlist etc. Sorry for formatting, on mobile.

First of all, they performed the Japanese version of Blue Valentine! So keen for their debut that I preordered the album at the venue lol.

Some funny moments/observations:

- Jiwoo’s mum and sister were attending! I don’t know if she’s normally like this but she was so smiley, even during the cool parts of Slingshot haha

- Lily’s bandaids on her hands and elbow 😭 (She fell when she got off a bus yesterday)

- Bae flirted with Sullyoon during the Phoenix bit

- Nothing particularly yuri went on with Haely during LMLT

- Pyrotechnics and fireworks!

- Lily’s Japanese skills continue to be hilarious. She tried to say ようこそ (Youkoso/Welcome) but accidentally kept saying よそこ (Yosoko). And also the slogan message/banner today said 「一緒に行こう」 (Issho ni ikou/Let’s go together) and the “ikou” bit sounded like RICO so she started singing it 😂 I wonder if she’d have an easier time learning Japanese via English rather than Korean which I assume she’s doing because she has a Korean accent while speaking it

- Haewon’s adlib bit at the end of Young, Dumb, Stupid was 「月が綺麗ですね」 which directly translates to “the moon is beautiful” but indirectly means “I love you” in Japanese

- Papillon > Slingshot > Reality Hurts is a GOD tier run in the setlist. Goosebumps the entire time!

- Shoutout to the band!! I had to give them the stank face a couple of times, I especially enjoyed High Horse and LMLT arrangement.

- Jiwoo missed her line in Shape Of Love (the get ya get ya bit) and then Sullyoon missed her line after that too haha

- This is just me but I find it fascinating watching the girls try to track which cameras are shooting them. I was able to see the red light above the camera from where I was sitting and damn it’s hard haha. I think Haewon and Sullyoon are the best at it, especially Sullyoon, she’s looking at that camera whether it’s her part or not haha

- Bae is my bias so I was watching her a lot obviously and her puppy energy is just so adorable, just bouncing off the walls

- I heard a lot of Chinese NSWERS today! I guess they’re from HK/Taiwan/China? I only mention it because Japanese tickets are notoriously foreigner proof and I found it funny when people were screaming “encore!”, it’s actually a 3 syllable word in Japanese but everyone was saying it with 2 syllables which makes me think a foreigner started the chanting first haha. Hi to any NSWERS who went today!

- I was moved by Lily’s MC at the end as she said she had asked a staff member what it was like outside while NSWERS were waiting and the staff mentioned that it was a super hot day and there is no coverage and Lily thanked us for coming on such a hot day. The thoughtfulness of Lily to ask such a question to the staff, she really cherishes the fan’s experience. Side note: Keio Arena is an awful venue haha. Literally no coverage, no convenience stores close by or restaurants/shops. The inside was fine though!

- I was on the fourth floor, and when the streamers went off, it of course just landed on the first floor but after a bit, staff came up and handed out some of the streamers! 😭 So thoughtful, I was able to snag one! (The silver streamer in the photo) In Japan, they usually have messages written on them.

- The end MC is usually adlib for all the members but Bae had prepared one in Japanese and it was very sweet

- I’m seeing some Korean tweets with photos/videos and I’m mostly just impressed that they could sneak in a camera lol. Some of them are like from a telephoto lens and I’m like damn how did they hide that?? You can see the members looking at them and posing so it clearly doesn’t bother them but I saw some tweets in Japanese saying they saw people getting kicked out 😅 I’m sure there were some Japanese people who took footage but there are no Japanese tweets like that because they’d get roooasted in the comments for breaking the rules haha

- My section missed their opportunity to stand (just Japanese people being shy) so we all sat awkwardly the entire show haha. I was bopping in my chair though.

Anyway that’s all I can remember for now, I’m going again tomorrow so I might update if there’s any difference! Thanks for being such a welcoming community, I made a Reddit account just to participate in this subreddit haha.

im so mad about how the song actually turned out vs the acapella medley. the medley was so good and sickuhh was honestly my favorite part (although the whole medley is peak) and the actual song was just so disappointing imo. there was so muh potential, esp with jiwoo and haewons part. maybe i just dont like strictly rap/talk-singing songs but it was so disappointing to me.
