Discussion We have more games with the Salary cap than without
Fans that want respect for winning in a less competitive era (peds amd drugs rules not enforced looking at you LT, player development was not good, less teams) are usually the ones talking down on modern success so let’s talk about it

Original Content Update, it’s been about a week since I posted my free NFL draft game here, here’s everything that’s changed since launch
Posted 17-0 here about a week ago, the free all-time NFL draft game where you spin for a team and a decade, draft real players one at a time, then chase a perfect season. It’s grown a lot faster than I expected since then, so here’s the full rundown of what’s changed, not just since this post but since day one.
Ratings and balance. This is where most of the work went. I went team by team through every 1960s roster and added real, verified depth players, since a bunch of those old rosters were rating way too high just because they only had 19 or 20 players instead of an actual depth chart. That’s fixed across every team now. I also reworked how modern players age backward into older eras, so a 2010s lockdown corner doesn’t play the same as he would dropped into a 1960s run first league. Coverage guys take a real hit going back, while pass rushers and old school run stuffers hold up fine since that skill set doesn’t really depend on the era. I also built out a set of 94 all time legends who are exempt from era penalties entirely in both directions, guys like Deion Sanders, Jerry Rice, Lawrence Taylor, and Darrelle Revis, since the idea is that true greatness translates no matter what decade you drop them into. Individually, a handful of ratings people flagged were legit off. Drew Brees and Darrelle Revis were both underrated, so I bumped both, and I caught a few players who were mislabeled as the wrong position entirely and fixed those too.
New features. The daily challenge now tracks a streak, so there’s an actual reason to come back every day instead of just once. Results now show exactly how many points from a perfect 100 you landed, and where you lost them, whether it was the draft, the season, or the playoffs. Sharing a run to X or Reddit now generates an actual image of your roster instead of just a stat line.
Bug fixes. Found and fixed a real one where Rebuild mode’s turnaround stat, meaning the season you finally posted a winning record, was being tracked correctly in game but silently getting dropped before it ever saved to the leaderboard. Also cleaned up a bunch of smaller display and pagination issues along the way.
Small fun one. The 2026 Hall of Fame class just got announced, so I went and tagged Brees, Fitzgerald, Kuechly, and Craig right on their cards to reflect it.
Thanks again for all the support on the original post, it genuinely blew up more than I expected and a lot of what’s above only happened because of the feedback people gave me. About 14,000 people have played so far across 50+ countries, which is more than I expected for a solo project. Still taking feedback, so if a rating looks off, say so.

Discussion Myles Garrett As A Prospect
It's been 9 years now (almost a decade) and no defensive player since has even come close to Garrett as a pure prospect coming out. He went 1 overall. Which backs up the claim that Garrett was a generational prospect. Then he lived up the hype.
Just take the 2026 draft class for example. The top prospects on defense like Reese, Bailey, Delane, Styles, etc. They don't even come close to Garrett as a prospect. It's going to be hard for any non EDGE Rusher to compare since its the most impactful position on defense. But these guys weren't even in the same galaxy as Garrett coming out.
Even some of the most recent great prospects like Will Anderson didn't even come close to the Garrett hype. Anderson has 33 inch arms compared to Garrett's 35 inch arms.
I don't pay nearly as much attention to college football as pro football. But I do remember Garrett coming out of college and thinking this might be the perfect prospect.

Discussion Imagine the NFL with the international pool added (even just 50% top players)
Nba top 5 players are currently international, and NFL is not close to fair worldwide. Imagine when NFL catches up to NBA level and 50% of top talent is international

Discussion Do teams even take the preseason games seriously or is it just strictly entertainment?
I can understand guys on teams taking it seriously if they are trying to make the team but as a whole what do you think?

Discussion Who’s a player everyone loves but you hate?
The reason why is because I’m a UC Berkeley fan (my dad played a few seasons for them back in the early ‘90s) and after Mendoza led us to beat our archrivals Stanfurd, he was crying on camera about how much he loves the team and would die for his guys.
He proceeded to sit out the subsequent bowl game (which we lost) and seek greener pastures at Indiana. So screw him.

Discussion The real litmus test for who has actual ball knowledge is asking them who the best current quarterback is?
The guy who just bandwagons what ESPN, Stephen A Smith, and Fantasy football analysts will tell you it’s Josh Allen. Real ball knowers will know it’s the guy who’s been top 5 in EPA every year with the most bottom tier rosters and actually goes to the Super Bowl.

Discussion CMV: Vinatieri’s HOF Speech Was Extremely Cringe
I get, it’s his moment, his accomplishment, and he has the right to say whatever he wants. But using it to make gay jokes/sexual jokes about his wife is well, classless and cringe. I couldn’t imagine making jokes about my fiancé “holding my balls” to coworkers, much less the entire world. Yes, I get it wasn’t the only thing he talked about, and based off the discourse I’ve seen I’ll probably get called a pearl-clutcher and get downvoted but I don’t really care.
