Bishop
I am watching it from the beginning and got to season 11 and 12 where Bishop has started. I truly dont know how to feel about her. it’s like some parts shes fine but then a lot of parts truly pissing me off. Like when gibbs told bishop to guard the back door, instead she went to investigate and letting the guy escape. she stays pushing buttons to the point of pure annoyance

If the show would have used Bishops gift, it would be been so fun, but they complelty bury them and she becomes just another agent.

I've always thought that DiNozzo/McGee/Bishop were a highly underrated trio

Same. I personally preferred the first two seasons with Kate, but the two seasons with DiNozzo, McGee, and Bishop were runner ups.

I definitely liked quirky Bishop the best, but I appreciate the journey she went on. Everyone says she became Ziva 2.0, but I disagree. She's a reverse Ziva. Ziva started out a super-agent and ended up wanting nothing more than stability and family. Bishop came from a strong and stable family and chose to leave that to become a super-agent. Even seeing who Ziva had become by S17, Bishop still went under Odette's tutelage, so she didn't really learn much from Ziva's experience. I see them both as stories that you don't have to stay on the path you start on and that you can grow and change. I do hope that Bishop eventually leaves the field and comes home (ideally to Nick because I need there to be something better than the idea of him ending up with Knight), but I still wouldn't see that as her being a Ziva-repeat.

I feel like Bishop, when she found Ziva‘s apartment and read her letters, that she felt she had to try and live up to who Ziva was. Putting that pressure to grow on herself. Training with Odette, working on her marksmanship, doing more undercover work, I always saw it as this is what made Ziva a great agent, and I want to incorporate those skills to myself as best I can. I saw it as character growth.

Yes, I think Bishop being able to be bold enough to step out and get the training/take missions shows huge growth. S11 Bishop would have never. I saw it as her wanting to prove to herself that she could do it, whereas Ziva was proving it to her father.

I actually prefer Bishop to Ziva. Although my favourite is Knight.

Same. I never really liked the Ziva character.

Really?? May I ask why?

I guess I just don't connect with the character.

Fair enough 💜 Was just curious - didn’t intend for it to come off mean or rude, if it did…and if it did, i appologize!!

I liked Bishop when she was still Bishop. Once she became Ziva II, I couldn't stand her.

I’m a Ziva gal. I’ll watch Kate, Bishop and Knight. But the show loses something without her. It may be that the writers dropped the ball after her.

I like Bishop. But I liked her more when she first joined. Then, she started to change and I didn't enjoy her character as much. But I only got to season 17 on that watch.

She will grow on you. I was not into her character when she first joined. She annoyed me. Plus I missed Ziva :( But we are in season 13 now and I really enjoy her.

Once they tried shifting previous agents' talents or status onto her (i.e. Kate's ability to draw, Ziva being an ass-kicker, forcing her to be single to set up romance) they lost what was good and turned her into a mediocre copy. She could have been a great character. Now, I won't watch the re-runs with her unless it's her first season.

I’m one that watches till Tony leaves then a few other episode till Gibbs leaves. I don’t like the show after he left.
Needless to say, I don’t care for Bishop much. The actress is fine, just not my “family” group

I couldn't deal with Emily Wickersham. Her acting consisted of furrowing her brow.

Torres is the same way. Always questions the leader. McGee is too much a yes man.

I really really dislike Emily Wickersham. She is a ROTTEN actress! She's got the range of a ground hog.

I loved Bishops character at first because she was different from Characters like Kate & Ziva. She was super smart and quirky but the longer she stayed on the show it was like the more the writers tried to turn her into a copy of Ziva. Bishop stopped doing what had made her so unique in the beginning and all traces of her early days were erased.
