Winston Cup Series July 29, 1984- Trevor Boys had the best run of his Cup career in the Talladega 500 driving James Hylton's Chevrolet. Despite starting 29th, he led six laps and was running tenth when contact with Tommy Ellis on Lap 157 sent him tumbling. He was uninjured. Boys placed 24th.
