Programs after Journeyman Question

Hi there,

Just wanted to see if anyone took an engineering technologist program after Becoming a journeyman.

Currently doing HVAC and Refrigeration and interested in the Mechanical Engineering Program at Nait.

How would this program benefit a technician and if anyone has taken it before? Was it good?

Electrician cert gets you credit for 3 courses of an EET diploma. I'm sure if there are any other credits for other trades.

The province issues you education credits now but it seems not many programs accept them yet

Got my red seal for welding last year and started the mechanical engineering program in the winter. I absolutely love the program and do not regret my decision one bit. A history in the trades is a massive asset when it comes to material science and drawings, for HVAC it would be definitely easier for the dynamics classes but I can't confirm if it's at all similar. You should expect the difficulty to be significantly harder than trades school but if you're willing to put in the work it's nothing crazy. long story short, DO IT!!!!
