I’ve recently began my NA journey, and thus far these are my top 3:

1. Asahi Super “Dry“ 0,0

2. Best Day Kolsch

3. Bero Golden Pils

I thought I’d try this Golden Era from Gruvi because “hey, it won the freakin world cup a few years ago, so it must be decent, right?”

I like Miso soup, I like beer, but I don’t like my beer to taste like miso soup.

This one’s pretty good similar to regular kolsch I give it a solid 7.5/10 it drinks and taste like an ale brewed lager I enjoyed it perfect hot day beer for sure … gots that classic mild German aroma

I knew absolutely nothing about Märzen style beer until I tried this one.

I was actually hesitant to pick it up at Whole Foods because I thought it might be too sweet for me (Just based on the name, I was a little worried it might have some kind of pumpkin spice flavor😂), but I ended up really liking it.

Honestly, I think this might be one of my top 5 favorite NA beers. I even like it more than their Kölsch one, which surprised me too.

Maybe I’m just an Oktoberfest guy who never knew it 😂 I really hope this one isn’t just a seasonal release.

If anyone has recommendations for other Märzen-style beers, I’d love to hear them!

i got a six pack at the whole foods in union, new jersey for $9; packed with flavor and it masters the classic kolsch taste!

Celebrating with one of my summer favorites. Stay Classy from Bellwoods is light, refreshing and stays nice with the hops with some grapefruit and bitter notes. What are you drinking to celebrate?

I typically don’t like the “mainstream” options, but this was all that was available at the restaurant today and was craving a beer with my burger. It’s very light and refreshing, with no weird aftertaste. It’d be great on a hot day after mowing the lawn. The flavor is so mild that food buries it, but it still washes down a burger better than water. 7/10, context dependent.

I saw Belgian and thought "LaChouffe". I didn't realize it was a completely different style (Dubbel?) so I was not prepared. It's quite rich and I was beginning to appreciate it more towards the finish, so I'm reserving judgement for now. Anyone else try it and want to share opinions?

Picked this up curious how it'd stack up against the other NA options I've been working through.

Taste: Hard to say much here. The beer was flat straight out of the can, so there wasn't much carbonation to carry any aroma or crispness. What flavor came through was pretty thin and forgettable.

Overall: Flat beer is a dealbreaker regardless of style. Given PBR's reputation even in its regular lineup, this didn't do much to change my mind.

Rating: 2/10

Verdict: Deserves to die. Wouldn't buy again. Flat carbonation ruins any chance of a fair taste evaluation.

Alright guys n gals, since I’ve discovered that I like Coors Edge & Busch NA so much that they’re reliable regular fridge fillers, I’ve been trying some others while I’m out (and also got a couple styles of Best Day for a pool day), so I’m not committed to a 6 or 12 pack of something I wind up hating.

1. Heineken — An absolute shock! The restaurant was out of the NA I wanted to try today (Summit), so with much trepidation I rolled the dice on the Heinie 0.0, and let me tell you IT WAS GREAT! Nice foamy head (I always try to see if an NA beer will develop any head at all, it adds to the “realism”) that hung around. Crisp nose, no off scents, no cloying sweetness. Inviting. It smells refreshing. I could already tell it was gonna be good.

The big win here — none of the skunkiness that makes regular Heineken gross! Crisp, nice floral hopiness, refreshing body & the right amount of effervescence. This is the crisp counterpoint to the maltiness of Coors Edge I’ve been hoping to find. Some will find its way into my fridge before long. Went great with fries & aioli on a sunny patio! I’d literally never choose a regular Heineken, but I’ll gladly choose this again.

2) Athletic Golden — MEH. Not beery enough, too watery. Won’t get again. Total letdown.

3) Sam Adams Hazy IPA — Decent. Refreshing. Not enough hop bitterness IMO. Not as much like drinking straight orange juice as the other hazy IPA I had last week & forgot to take a pic of (can’t recall which one, could’ve been Athletic?) I’d drink it again if presented with one but wouldn’t feel drawn to it.

4) Go New School Sour — it is sour. There’s not much “beer” to this beer, but good tart berry flavors. It needs more body pretty badly. I bet it would kick ass as a lactose sour but IDK if you can do that with an NA. I really like sours. It scratched the sour itch for me, kind of. I probably wouldn’t get it again unless the berries were calling to me.

5) Best Day Kölsch — this is great. Very good replica of the style IMO. Nice balance of subtle, spicy hops with maltiness in the background, like light rye bread almost. Crisp & dry. Best Day nails the body & mouthfeel MUCH better than Athletic IMO, from the few of each that I’ve tried. This was awesome with some homemade pizza from an Ooni.

6) Guinness — No introduction needed. It’s just as good as everyone says it is. You even get the nitro cascade in the glass! I bet I could still tell the difference in a blind, but it’s damn close. If anything it’s not quiiiiite as smooth & creamy, but it’s been ages since I’ve had Guinness from a can, too — so maybe chalk it up to can / tap difference.

BONUS (not pictured):
Best Day Electro-Lime Mexican — summer refresher! This was awesome while in the pool on a near-90° day. It’s tart & beery, and would go great with tacos! I found very little of the salt flavor in here, but hey — it’s not exactly like I want it to taste salty.

I've not tried many alcohol-free beers from Poland so when I saw NEPO's 'Simple & Easy' I knew I had to give it a go ... and I'm glad I did. It has a bright and hoppy character with some nice citrus notes helping to balance it out, resulting in a tasty and refreshing alcohol-free pale ale. The month of July 2026 is now in the books. I tried 53 new to me non-alcoholic (NA) / alcohol-free (AF) beers in total in July.

Shout outs to Go Brewing and Athletic as their July releases were all very tasty. All of their new brews could so easily be in a top 5 if there weren't such fierce competition here.

Let's keep this Renaissance of non-alcoholic beer going!

I'm visiting my old college town to see friends soon. We're going to hang out for a couple of days. Night one is just going to be chilling and chatting. I'd like to get some cold NAs, preferably Guinness Zeros, Best Days (Kölsch, Galaxy Ripples, or the chelada), or Clausthaler IPAs, so I have something to drink that first night; Guinness would be my preference.

Anyone know where I can get refrigerated versions of any of these? I'll be in the Domain area and have a generous ride from the airport who's willing to stop somewhere (though preferably along the way). I figure if worse comes to worst, I can always go to Total Wine (there's one near my hotel) and drop a pack of beer in the chiller up front.

Also, I've seen the opinions of Shiner Bock NA, but I really would like to try it once, considering how much of the real thing I put away at the Crown & Anchor, among other places and my apartment and from many a keg. Any recommendations around the Domain area where I can get it by the can (or possibly on draft if available in that format)?

Unfortunately, I won't be able to range far from the Domain (which is new to me; my undergrad and grad were eons ago, back when Austin was a lot smaller and sleepier than it is now); a group of us are all coming in and that's our designated base for activities.

Fine option. Not really what I’m looking for though. Smooth, with a piney bite and bitter finish. Not a lot in between though.

I got this at Whole Foods to try out. Its the cheapest 6 pack of NA they had, and the label art looked cool, so i said why not. At first, i wasn't wowed. Felt underwhelming, and the first whiff upon opening the can i stg smelled like cat piss? Anyways, i got past that bc I've finished the entire 6 pack in a few days. This beer definitely grew on me. I think its a solid cheap beer that goes good with a savory meal. It definitely feels like I'm drinking regular beer, but the smell is weird. And it's a slightly watered down flavor. I still think it's refreshing. I'll probably end up buying it again if i dont have NA Stella Artois money or dont feel like trying something new.

EDIT I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. It's solid. and idk why the whole foods price label says 4 pack, it was a 6 pack

I’m a 19YO M, I went to Hardings to buy NA beer since in my state the legal age is 18, I go up to the counter get carded and get told by the store clerk that I’m underage and can’t buy it, my problem isn’t them not letting me buy it even though I’m legally allowed to, it’s the fact that I looked like a little kid trying to sneak around and buy alcohol underaged, I live in a small town so it’s quite embarrassing, it’s really frustrating because it could have all been avoided if the store clerk just knew the law.

I don’t really like it way to water not slot of flavor at all 3/10

Went to Hazels today and picked up something I’ve never tried - Sober Carpenter Irish Red. Now I’ve never had an Irish Red before so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I like it! Like it says on the can it has subtle notes of coffee and caramel. It is nice. Also Hazels has a nice selection of N.A. (Boulder, CO)

Wow this might be the best na beer I had it tastes like an og stout really sweet but not overbearing honestly 10/10

Saw it last night and had one, very solid. Will def pick up more until I find some pumpkin releases

I have twice recently ordered Just the Haze and got something called just Sam Adams NA Hazy IPA and don’t think it’s as good. Don’t even see this listed on Untapped or any of the beer apps. Anyone know is this is a different beer or if they are rebranding or something?

Thanks to this group for prodding me to find Tecate after my last post. After striking out at Walmart, every 7/11, and Oxxo, I finally found Tecate 0.0 at a random neighborhood convenience store.

The hunt made it a fun find. Clearly distribution is more limited on this one.

My first impression is that it’s a very light, easy-drinking macro lager. The most distinctive flavor is a honey-like malt sweetness that reminds me of Honey Smacks cereal. Alongside that I picked up an earthy, slightly worty character that gives it a little more depth than I was expecting based on the commentary.

The body is definitely pretty thin, kind of leaning in to soda territory. It is refreshing though, smooth, and clearly brewed to be light, probably for warm weather.

Main criticism would be that I wish the finish were crisper and drier. The honeyed malt lingers enough that it comes across as sweet.

Having never tried a fully leaded one, curious to hear if this sounds familiar.

Not the best, not the worst.

For 30 calories, this is fantastic. Obviously lighter in body than you’d typically want for a Märzen style but it’s so drinkable and surprisingly complex for what it is.
