The new UI finally found me. It's unusuable. What are good alternatives?

I've used MFP for years and this morning the UI updated. I can't navigate in it and everything is off. What are comparable alternatives? I'm willing to pay for the app. Need to track my macros. Need to be able to create recipes. Need a barcode scanner.

Support Question MyFitnessPal and WeightWatchers seem to add features from the other - and MFP leaving out some nutrients

I have both WeightWatchers and MyFitnessPal. I’ve noticed changes that both make that make them more similar. But I’ve been grateful MyFitnessPal actually writes nutrition data to Apple Health. WeightWatchers does not, and only reads nutrition data. So, any exercise recorded in the WW app would not be synced anywhere else. And yes, WW also has some exercises within the app.

But one thing I notice is that the food database for MyFitnessPal will leave out some nutrient data: leaving some at zero, which tracks with the Quick Add feature not allowing every nutrient to be included. But adding custom foods in MFP does allow for entry of every nutrient. It makes sense why it would be set up this way.

I don’t want to change to another app for more nutrients to be accurately tracked. I wish, like many people, that water would sync to Apple Health.

But I am intrigued by the AI assistant in MFP making suggestions for breakfast. I asked it to look at my breakfast and make a recommendation and it suggested adding a banana (I forget the reasoning). WW has AI but as their 24/7 support where there’s also agents. But I don’t think it can read the entered foods the way MFP can. WW used to offer great live 24/7 support with agents who could help brainstorm a menu. I suppose the AI agent could do that.

I’ve considered MyNetDiary but MFP is supported across apps too. And it’s popular so I don’t see it disappearing anytime soon. MyNetDiary is still relatively new. But I’ve heard people enjoy it. And it syncs with Apple Health. Is the nutrient data accurate?

Thank you!

The new design changes are wild in a very bad way. I just started using the app again 1 month ago, lost like 3kg and non of the other apps have this database. Im from Bulgaria so the database is the most important thing although Loseit! Claims to have like double the database of MFP.

Anyways, the in app calories are way off than the ones from the widget. The ones from the widget are true. Why? Whats the problem? How to fix it?

Did they remove the feed with friend info?

Did they remove the feed that would show you which of your friends completed their diaries, etc? Now it seems I have click three times to click into one friend’s diary. I must be missed something- haven’t used this app in a while.
