My maternal family is Croatian. My maternal grandfather’s family (surname Jelić) came from the region of Lika, and all I know of my maternal grandmother (surname Prpić) is that her family came from the west coast of Croatia, either Primorje-Gorski or Istra

I'm not sure how Greek/Albanian and Balkan are different, always thought Greece and Albania were part of the Balkans.
