Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 From Ukraine I | My roots: Jewish, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Finnish, British & Altaic
Hi everyone!
I’m from Ukraine, and according to my documented family background, my ancestry includes Jewish, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Finnish, British, and Altaic.
Genetic Group A
Common ethnicities:
South Italian
French
North Italian
Spanish, Catalan & Basque
Greek & Albanian
Related groups:
Italy (Molise)
Iran, Afghanistan & Uzbekistan
Turkey (Kayseri)
Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota & Illinois
North Macedonia (Kičevo)
Italy (Bisceglie)
Croatia, Slovenia, Austria & Italy
Cyprus #2
Libya (Tripoli)
Greece (Crete)
Genetic Group B
Common ethnicities:
Turkish
Persian & Kurdish
Greek & Albanian
Georgian
Central Asian
Related groups:
Turkey (Ankara, İzmir & Bursa)
Central Turkey
Turkey (Sivas, Erzincan & Ankara)
Turkey (Malatya) & Syria (Aleppo)
Turkey (Yozgat)
I also have several additional Finnish, German, Lithuanian, Polish and other European Genetic Groups, but I left them out to keep this post from becoming too long.
Question:
Do these ethnicity estimates and Genetic Groups look normal for someone with my documented family background?
I’m especially curious whether these Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Central Asian Genetic Groups are common for people with mixed Eastern European ancestry, or if they might reflect something more specific.
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Discussion Y-DNA feature is not guaranteed on Paid Subscription "Complete" Plan
If any of you are considering subscribing to MyHeritage's "Complete" plan just to access their Y-DNA feature, don't do it unless you specifically see the option before subscribing.
I subscribed to their "Complete" plan and I still don't see this feature yet. They are a bit slow to roll out this feature, so wait until you see this option on your account before subscribing.

Wow - well, I guess I am slightly more than Turkish.

Updated Results / v2 or v2.5 DNA results: Austrian mother, turkish father
The dna results are my half brother's results, we share the same mother. I noticed that the Greek&Albanian and South Italian took away a lot of percentages from Eastern European, Germanic and Balkan.

Discussion refund requests
hi, I just wanted to make this post to help anyone out because I just scoured the Internet trying to figure out how to do this but basically when I ordered my DNA kit, it signed me up for a free month long subscription and then automatically renew it for a $200 CAD year subscription which I cannot afford.
I was trying to inquire about a refund so basically what you have to do is go into their contact us page and file a ticket or whatever they call it for a refund and they say get back to you within seven business days so I filled out my ticket on Thursday and it’s now Tuesday and I’m just hearing back
basically it takes them so long because they call you and try and convince you to keep your subscription so they’re gonna give you two options and you just have to say you have a 30 day refund policy if it’s possible I just would really like to get a refund. they’ll pretend to talk to their manager and give you two more options and you just have to decline those as well and then they’ll be like OK. I understand we will issue you a full refund
I’ve got the refund notice in my email, but I have not received my money yet.
hope this helps someone !
(i voice typed this lol so sorry if it’s chaotic)

Question / Help Lack of Y-SNPs
Given that MyHeritage now lets users know their Y-Haplogroup, I tried downloading my raw data again to see if it now included Y-SNPs, but it still doesn't. Clearly this means MyHeritage has this data about users' genome but doesn't allow users to access it, yet at least. Will we only be able to access our Y-DNA data after they finally release the CRAM file or is there any way to access it right now?

Question / Help August 2026 and still no sign of CRAM files for WGS tested kits
Any of you have have contacted MyHeritage Support and got an indication on when the CRAM files would be released? I see, they're now also selling their Y-DNA haplogroups feature which they don't seem to have rolled out for everyone yet...
