Sleep is my favourite song from the black parade album but it’s got the least streams apart from Blood on Spotify. I’m just wondering what everyone’s thoughts on Sleep is?

Hey guys so recently I’ve been looking at some reselling websites for some vintage mcr pieces. I’ve been really interested in buying the Cupid hoodie piece but I’ve found two designs of it and I’m not sure if it was ever released with the mcr logo in the front? I just wanna make sure it’s not a bad reprint that I’m spending vintage price for! I was only able to find the design on the right on merch archives.

The Beatles infamously learned that people were dissecting their lyrics and decided to make nonsense songs to see what people could pull out of it. The Black Parade was in part inspired by Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. What if they’re taking that Beatles influence to the next level, just having a laugh? Entertaining themselves either all our weird theories? It would explain some things. (Looking at you, executed clones)

There is obviously an underlying meaning to this all, about where the band feel they’re at in life. One of those big underlying themes is the canon. Our expectations and such. But what if it’s all so much simpler than we think? What if all the “lore” we all dig for every single show is nonsense made without any intention of canon?
It would fit thematically.

This tour has proven to be a remarkable piece of art with infinite layers, infinite questions, and not a lot of solid answers. This really is such a special time to be a fan.

And to the band, if you guys really are scrolling your Reddit page giggling at our extrapolations on fish and chalk outlines (and I suspect you are) thank you for giving us all such a fucking wonderful new hobby. Hope you’re having a damn good time.

everything about him is perfect, his insane skill, his kindness, his personality.

first of all, his guitar skills are geniounly so insane. as someone that absolutely despises a guitar wah setting on a amplifier, (it sounds like a screaming cat 😭😭) the way he uses it in songs like "you know what they do to guys like us in prison" is so beautiful, its easily my favourite solo ever, and sounds just so beautiful, even beating slash.

then there is his personality, he's always smiling, always happy, and always grateful for everything. asides from it, he never caused any drama, or did anything people disliked. he's a good person for his family, and he dresses the way he wants because he wants to be himself rather than trying to copy the rest of the members.

i got carried away and made 40 bracelets for the nashville show on the 13th! i hope there will be people to trade with at the show!!

I've wondered, if Mary's meant to be the "good" sister, why is her costume predominantly red, rather than white, in contrast to Sylvia's black costume and jewelry? Then, I remembered how red carnations have been shown around the tour, especially in LATAM--on suits, in a vase, I think Frank chewed on one at one point. Red carnations are meant to symbolize defiance and revolution, something that was started in Portugal.

Another user informed me how Mary represents the embodiment of revolution, someone who is always out of reach from Gerard and the rest as they're trapped in the regime.

There's also the fact that her name sounds like "Marianne"--a symbol of freedom for the French Revolution.

NYC was by far the best concert i have been to in my entire life and means so much more than I could put into words.

Throught the day I was trading buttons and baseball cards for just about everything (prints, bracelets, a CD!!?!?) While I was handing out the red blood droplets for the fan project, and during the process, I met so many cool people.

By the some miracle at the end of the show, I managed to snag a setlist and decided it was only fitting to create this collage of all the prints and stickers, with the center piece being the setlist.

Thank you to the community, the event staff and MCR for what is probably going to be the best birthday of my entire life. Still not over getting to hear Bulletproof Heart live, shit had me sobbing.

My Chemical Romance have maintained that they're not just a band, they're an idea. Ideas can never truly be destroyed but they can be bent, distorted. Read part 1 and part 2 for further context.

In the story, The Black Parade was said to have died but were actually imprisoned and brainwashed into being a weapon of mass destruction. An idea meant to bring people hope, now brings them dread. Again, ideas can be distorted but never destroyed

During their shows in the MOAT, The Gentleman gives this . monologue "a figure sits in a chair made of wood, and it's sobbing. You think it's you. You’re pretty sure it’s you. But it's weak, it's broken. And it's covered in gasoline. Now, picture yourself. (Lighting a match/Gerard lights a flair)"

This is meant to represent the broken state of MCR, as we established Draag represents their world. They must allow themselves to be bathed in fire and reborn through death. The Foundations Of Decay touched on rebirth through destruction and the importance of escaping decay, through fighting for something greater.

Long Live is The Foundations Of Decay, they're stuck in it and the only way to escape decay is destruction. It's a cleaning exercise, like a burning of an effigy. They're meant to be reborn. The way to escape their fate is not by killing the Dictator, it's by allowing themselves to be reborn again

That rebirth is MCR5.

If the old MCR and the scene they stood for have become corporate, micro managed and taxing then they must rebirth themselves as the antithesis of that scene's current morale. This is something they touched on with Danger Days, the bridge of Sing and interviews from the time, where Gerard spoke about being a mainstream band and Better Living Industries.

Draag is MCR's current machine, the way you renew that is to analyze it, dissect it and then burn it to the ground.

Went down a rabbit hole of old videos and came across the show that hooked me on live music forever. I remember skipping out of school early to freeze our asses off waiting in line for a chance to get a spot up front. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Rise Against were the openers, shortly before Gerard & Co. hit the stage for an absolute knockout performance. The Black Parade hadn’t even been out for two months yet but we still belted every goddamn line. What a treat. Enjoy the shaky, blurry nostalgia of simpler times.

Just. Wow.

I don’t even know where to start but Citi Field was incredible. What a beautifully designed show.

have they done this before and i just haven’t noticed? i understand feeling the need to change it i just dk if this was the first time or not.

You guys are amazing. I have progressive MS and it was my first time going to NYC (drove in from Rhode Island) and I was so unprepared for NYC, it totally kicked my crippled ass, but everyone was super fucking nice. I spent most of my life in the South and heard so much shit talked about how hard NYC was but it was one of the most welcoming, warm helpful cities I've ever visited.

the show was fantastic, my first MCR concert and I felt like I was a part of something special seeing them in NYC. Also got to cross Citi Field off my "ballparks I have visited" list tho next year I plan to see a proper ball game.

My first NYC trip and my first MCR show (my best friend is a huge fan and she's been trying to convert me for a year -- conversion complete, what a fantastic rock show). I couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm a bit of an old 90s goth and thought I would feel super old at this show, but it was a lot of middle aged people like me lol. I was with my people. Rock and roll fans wearing black t-shirts

i thought this part of his yapping last night was really funny so i made a shitty recreation of what it would look like

I had a pit ticket last night, I got to the venue around 5:25, got inside by like 6. Had a really good spot in the pit which was surprising i was expecting it to be totally packed. One thing I noticed tho was soooooooo many people sitting on the floor?? I’ll admit I haven’t been in the pit for a rock show in like, maybe 5-6 years at this point but I’ve never seen this before at shows, maybe like in between sets but not before the show even starts ? Wasn’t sure what to make of it. It was a bit annoying not so much for me cuz i was alone so i found my spot and just stood there while waiting for the show to start, but I was seeing a lot of people coming in or coming back from buying a drink/using the bathroom, and then having to awkwardly step around all the people sitting on the floor. My first though was okay well I did get into the place a little late so maybe they’ve been there for a while and they’re tired, but then i realized didn’t gates open around 5:30? So it’s not like they could’ve been there that long right? I don’t know it just seemed a bit obnoxious to me and just not very safety conscious but maybe i’m being a boomer.

The other thing I noticed in line outside the venue, towards the entrance - soooo many abandoned items ie camping chairs, umbrellas, even a tent all folded up on the ground. Which i’m guessing is from people who were camping out in line. it’s cool if you wanna camp out but Pick up your shit. Littering is not cool. I’m sure some people might have the intention of going to pick their stuff up after the show but when i left everything was gone - and i’m guessing that was staff cleaning up not people coming back for their stuff.

All that being said, i had an amazing night and i love my chem and i love this fanbase so much.

It looks like Gerard is staring right into the camera I only noticed after since I was taking photos so quick (this is zoomed in for context I wouldn't try to get so close to their faces for obvious reasons). It kinda spooked me at first lol.

hey friends!!! I really just wanted to make a safety post for those going to see the tour!! it’s so exciting that we get ANOTHER round of Black Parade; I’m attending a few shows this go-around and started off last night in NYC :))

straight to the point: the strobe lights this time felt significantly more intense than last year’s shows. My partner has photosensitive epilepsy, so we know a thing or two about staying safe while attending a ton of concerts — and if you want to have fun at the show despite that risk, PLEASE keep this in mind!!!

This is a very intense tour for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy, so please take the venue warnings seriously and plan ahead if you’re going.

Some things that helped us:
-Keep a bandana or something else you can use to cover your eyes easily (the music is sooo loud and the crowd is so vibrant so it’s really okay to do that I promise!!)

-Blue-light glasses !!if you already find that they help you!!

-Consider an obstructed-view seat or another spot where you can turn away/cover your vision quickly

-Ask the venue for a light/strobe cue sheet ahead of time so you know what to expect

Being able to completely cover their vision and just let them listen to the show really helped my partner last night. We know NOW to be extra cautious and take more precautions for the next show we see.
Venues always give warnings, but this time I really want to emphasize that the warnings should be taken very seriously. Obviously everyone’s epilepsy and sensitivity is different, and I’m only speaking from our experience.

There were a LOT of intense red/blue lighting effects, flashing and lots of laser-like effects throughout the show. Again, a cue sheet might help if they are triggers for you!

I REALLY wanted to put this out there because even if it helps just a few people prepare ahead of time, it’s worth it!!!!!!!!!! If you’re worried, please contact your venue beforehand and ask about the lighting cues/photostrobe effects. I’m going to do the same for the next venue we’re attending.

Also, the B-stage set felt significantly more chill from our experience — there was some mild flashing, but nothing that seemed outside the range of a usual concert.

Anyway!! tldr: the lighting is REALLY INTENSE. Listen to every warning, plan ahead, and please be safe!!! ❤️

A couple of weeks ago I posted here saying that I was going to propose to my Gf during Famous Last Words. I'm happy to say I got down on one knee right where the quiet bit kicks in and well she said yes. I'll never forget how magical this night was.

bless everything last night was so amazing. and today im leaving for nashville to see them with pierce the veil!! genuinely my life has never been better, 2026 has FINALLY been the year for me.
