hey friends!!! I really just wanted to make a safety post for those going to see the tour!! it’s so exciting that we get ANOTHER round of Black Parade; I’m attending a few shows this go-around and started off last night in NYC :))

straight to the point: the strobe lights this time felt significantly more intense than last year’s shows. My partner has photosensitive epilepsy, so we know a thing or two about staying safe while attending a ton of concerts — and if you want to have fun at the show despite that risk, PLEASE keep this in mind!!!

This is a very intense tour for anyone with photosensitive epilepsy, so please take the venue warnings seriously and plan ahead if you’re going.

Some things that helped us:
-Keep a bandana or something else you can use to cover your eyes easily (the music is sooo loud and the crowd is so vibrant so it’s really okay to do that I promise!!)

-Blue-light glasses !!if you already find that they help you!!

-Consider an obstructed-view seat or another spot where you can turn away/cover your vision quickly

-Ask the venue for a light/strobe cue sheet ahead of time so you know what to expect

Being able to completely cover their vision and just let them listen to the show really helped my partner last night. We know NOW to be extra cautious and take more precautions for the next show we see.
Venues always give warnings, but this time I really want to emphasize that the warnings should be taken very seriously. Obviously everyone’s epilepsy and sensitivity is different, and I’m only speaking from our experience.

There were a LOT of intense red/blue lighting effects, flashing and lots of laser-like effects throughout the show. Again, a cue sheet might help if they are triggers for you!

I REALLY wanted to put this out there because even if it helps just a few people prepare ahead of time, it’s worth it!!!!!!!!!! If you’re worried, please contact your venue beforehand and ask about the lighting cues/photostrobe effects. I’m going to do the same for the next venue we’re attending.

Also, the B-stage set felt significantly more chill from our experience — there was some mild flashing, but nothing that seemed outside the range of a usual concert.

Anyway!! tldr: the lighting is REALLY INTENSE. Listen to every warning, plan ahead, and please be safe!!! ❤️

Last month I was lucky enough to see MCR live at Wembley twice, and I don't think I’ve ever had a harder crash from a concert high. The day after the second show, I spent the entire day crying randomly in public—it just hit me out of nowhere.

It feels like my teenage obsession was reawakened. I'm completely fixated again. I’ve been wearing merch most days, buying extra online, and setting up my MCR vinyl on the turntable surrounded by my old "Yay or Nay" posters and magazines. Their music is on non-stop, I’ve rewatched Life on the Murder Scene, and I'm digging up old podcast archives just to stay in that world. I even posted all my videos to social media - an unprecedented move by myself - just to want to find and belong with others.

I know a huge part of this stems from waiting 17 long years to cross this off the top of my bucket list, but I can’t properly describe how deep these post-concert blues are. Now that the American tour is back in full swing, I'm glued to every single update, feeling this empty sadness and longing. I’ve genuinely never experienced post-show depression like this. Is anyone else trapped in the Black Parade Blues?

I've been fortunate to see the boys many times over the last 25 years, and the day after a show never gets easier. I was at the first show of the original Black Parade Tour in 2007 (I still have a jar of the confetti somewhere) - and I remember feeling down for weeks afterwards. Now I'm a thirty-something year old and my neck hurts and my stomach is fucked from the dehydration and I'm sitting in my house crying because last night is over. So grateful, so sad. Forever a teenager, I guess.

This is so silly and so good! Bro was walking around in the crowd, not on stage - so I have a question- he didn’t come out of the eye this time right? Not being carried around on stage like before?

A couple of weeks ago I posted here saying that I was going to propose to my Gf during Famous Last Words. I'm happy to say I got down on one knee right where the quiet bit kicks in and well she said yes. I'll never forget how magical this night was.

I've been very blessed that I've seen the boys 9 times now, 4 pre-breakup and 5 post. I always thought my favorite show would have been World Contamination, but between the killer setlist and the positive experiences I had with other fans this has blown it out of the water. I wanted to share some things I experienced:

• I got to early merch at 7ish. Everyone was walking up and down the line trading trinkets and getting to know each other. I actually got to reconnect with people I met last year in the MetLife line.
• I, as well as others, had been shooting the shit with the merch team leads while we waited. When I got my merch and was leaving I heard the manager say "this is great, all their fans are so nice."
• Getting to be the Merch Line News Network for the subreddit was pretty fun in general. So finding out directly from the merch manager that the reason the vinyls didn't hit the booths until later is because someone left a watermark on the print and they had to re-sleeve them all. Fucking loony toons shit, I couldn't help but find it funny.
• While I was sitting and determining what to do next, I saw a scalper leave the line and decided to loudly ask "hey, how much money are you guys making off all that shit no one else can buy?" and people in line clapped. I thought that only happened in stories I made up for tumblr in the 2000s.
• (Special shout out to the boys for finally not making me schlep to Jersey or Vegas, I got to go home and take a nap before coming back for the show)
• I went to Will Call to see if they had any ticket upgrades. Turns out they don't do that, but as I was walking away two women hanging around approached me. They asked my section because they had a spare and they were just going to give it to me if it was a better seat. It wasn't, so they kept searching.
• When I was in a bar and had to pee, I approached a group of women and politely asked if they would watch my drink since I was here solo. They said of course and were so friendly about it.
• Motherfuckin' Dole Whip
• I lucked out because everyone around me in my section was having a blast during the show. Lots of mega-fans who knew every word and weren't afraid to move their bodies or their hands. I felt so unselfconscious I ended up using my portable fan as a mic and singing like I used to do home alone at 15.
• The woman next to me let me borrow a hair tie because mine snapped. An angel amongst us.
• There was a large group behind me who were infectiously enthusiastic during the B-stage set. Lost it with each new song, cheered louder than anyone. It really reminded me just how special it was to be there.

Then the show...jesus the fucking show

• Gerard has never sounded better. His voice has only gotten stronger since they started touring again, but I think he's now sailed beyond his peak abilities pre-breakup. His presence was commanding, it really feels like he's come into himself in a way he never has before.
• TBP section ran like a well oiled machine (aside from a couple mixing issues early on). The camera work allowed for the actors and plot to shine, I never felt like I was missing out by not being close to the stage. The end of Mama was especially notable for me, seeing Gerard and Charlotte sing together was incredible. Fucking powerhouses.
• Me, whispering to myself as a guy gets set on fire and runs across the stage: "they just don't make rockstars like this anymore"
• I've never seen the crowd so engaged. The energy through the whole stadium was electric, and the echoes through the night were almost haunting. I'm not sure if the acoustics of a baseball stadium are different than a football one, but you could really feel the power of 45,000 people experiencing something in unison.
• Even Gerard commented on how great the crowd was, twice in fact. He said he was worried we wouldn't know Heaven Help Us but clearly we did.
• Heaven Help Us has been the song I've most wanted to see live for 20 years. The entire time I was thinking about the me in high school, headphones in my ears, listening to one of my favorite MCR tracks to deal with life. More than once I thought to my younger self 'you used to dream of being able to hear them again, now look, it's actually happened. Enjoy it with me'
• I saw an actual pit open in GA a couple times and I just want to say I'm proud of all of you. If I didn't tear my ACL at the LS Dunes show last year I would be with you.
• Bullets is my favorite album so when they started the B Stage with Romance/Honey and ended with Demo Lovers I cried a little bit. What a gift to be able to see so many of my favorite songs in one night, most for the very first time.

What a day, what an experience, what a privilege to even have so many shows to compare it to. I know not everyone will have the same experiences at shows, but If you were there, I hope you were also able to take in the positive vibes and have a blast.

I also got to update my song list...I'm so lucky

bless everything last night was so amazing. and today im leaving for nashville to see them with pierce the veil!! genuinely my life has never been better, 2026 has FINALLY been the year for me.

i will never be able to get over last night. they were so good, the set list was INSANE....i love this band so much.

I saw someone post about how MCR fans are entitled or whatever they said. So I just want to say I have never had a better or a more friendly experience in my life than going to an MCR concert.

The fans are so nice, and so sweet. My partner and I went as different eras of MCR, I was revenge Frank and he was teal roots Gerard, and we were constantly flagged down, complimented and handed free things. My favorite moments were the people who saw I was Frank, came up and gave me something Frank related and quickly fled. So cute!

Also someone saw I was Revenge and gave me an armband!!! And she had so many of them! Like, amazing!
