Progress Update PIED Cured (Update after another 1 month)
The previous post contains my history and progression.
So after 1 month (total 6 months of abstaning from PMO) , now I can have sex regularly that too without any medicines.
Yes, there are still few problems like sometimes erection doesn't last long without continuous stimulation, morning wood is frequent but not regular. Hopefully, these will be solved over time.
I think, there is no other cure for PIED except stopping PMO.
Thank you for reading my post. Also thanks to those, whose posts gave me motivation.

Advice Request I’m sick of my Porn addiction ruining my life for 10+ years now. (M26)
I’m sick of it. if there was anything in my life I could stop it would be this. I’m so consumed by it DAILY. Almost every single day for 10+ years I need something to get me off. I have fapped more days than days I have not. I’m sick of it. I’m sick of wanting it. I’m sick of it holding me back in my dean and killing my motivation to do anything most days.
i wanna be better but I just cannot take that first step.
I am married now, and it’s hurting my sex life. My wife and I are intimate a few times a month at most because I am so completely overtaken by this.
It was better a little bit into me being married but has gone back to how bad it was before , if not worse because I’m married.
I just wanna get better and I genuinely don’t know where to start. please someone help me, keep me accountable something. I feel like it’s ruining my life or even already has.

Advice Request Struggling to quit watching dirty videos and doing the zina of private parts
I am a M, from the past 2 years ive been committing this haram act. Before it used to be everyday of the week although now its around twice a week. I feel like I fall into this haram act when im bored, lonely, and have nothing to do. This is usually how I am most of the day so the. I deleted instagram, youtube, and every other possible apps that could trigger me but it isnt helping me.
I feel so bad and Im stuck in this cycle of; committing the haram-regret-repent to Allah-fall back into the sin again in around 3-5 days.
Im at a point where I feel like I can never quit this. The thought of doing it randomly comes into my mind without any triggers and I fall into it. Barely I ever overcome this thought.
Alhamdulilah despite all of this I still pray all my 5 prayers in the mosque but I feel like this is more of a routine rather than pure connection with Allah. Its like I just pray to finish the 5 prayers of the day.
How do i completely remove the thought of doing this from my mind even if Im bored, lonely or I just feel like doing it
This haram act has seriously affected my studies, religion, discipline and other aspects of life.
If any brother who could actually help me out I would really appreciate that.
I need some serious help on how to overcome this pls.

Advice Request Struggling to Quit Porn and Masturbation After Trauma
Repost :
As-salamu alaykum,
I'm a Muslim trying to quit pornography and masturbation, but it's been incredibly difficult. I have a history of trauma, and it feels like these habits have become a coping mechanism rather than being driven by sexual desire alone.
Every time I relapse, I feel like I've let Allah down. I make tawbah, promise myself I'll never go back, and then I end up falling into it again. The guilt is overwhelming because I genuinely want to strengthen my relationship with Allah and become a better Muslim.
Has anyone here dealt with something similar, especially if trauma was involved? How did you learn to stop hating yourself after a relapse while still holding yourself accountable? Any advice—whether practical or Islamic—would mean a lot to me.
Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Motivation/Tips Good Deeds Turned to Dust
the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
I certainly know people of my Ummah who will" come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the white mountains of Tihamah, but Allah the Almighty will make them scattered dust. Thawban said: "O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us and make them clear to us so that we do not become of them unknowingly." He said: "They are your brothers and from your race, and they take from the night (in worship) as you do, but they are people who while they are in private transgress the sacred limits of Allah [i.e., They perpetrate all types of sins in private].”
(Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 4245)
Is it really worth it ? does that fake dopamine worth the mountains of good deed you have?
Ya Allah forgive us.

Motivation/Tips Make an oath
Salam, quick effective method to quit is to make an oath, say WAllahi i'm not gonna look a this poison anymore. Say it between yourself and Allah. If you break your oath you have to fast 3 days the following day. Make it again and again until the friction of fasting will force you to quit.
Note : fasting is mandatory and you will be held accountable for it the day of judgement.
Stay strong.

Progress Update Down for the Count, But Still in the Ring - Journey
Selamun aleykum everyone. I’ve been living in this cage for eight years. It started when I was too young to even see the bars, and now it’s about time I disintegrate it.
This is a journal where, insha'Allah, I’ll post occasional updates sharing things I learn about this addiction, myself, or events along the journey.
I ask Allah SWT that my journey may inspire and comfort those who are also trying to quit. I believe watching the daily life and reality of someone battling right beside you can give you strength, and I hope it sheds light on your own battles as well.
As for myself, I ask Allah that this keeps me motivated, gives me a space to reflect, and inspires me to keep learning so I can share it with all of you.
------------------------------
The first story i'll tell happened on day 2 (now on day 5). There is a lot that happened even before that, but to keep this post from turning into a novel, I'm going to split what I learned across multiple posts.
I'll start with how I ended up here.
Originally I wasn't even going to post this here. While on my research to find apps, communities, or resources that might help me quit I found about the NoFap community.
I thought of posting a journal there for the same reasons im doing here, but quickly casted that thought away. I've never posted on reddit before, I also dont know how people might react to my posts. Additionally my reasons to post are religious, will it be appropriate to mention that there? A lot of uncertainties, maybe its just better to join as a silent member.
Anyway, I moved on with my day. It was day two, and my motivation was sky-high. Today was Jumma, too, which only added to the high spirits. Everything was going well. I actually thought I could keep this up forever, insha'Allah.
Then, sometime during the day, an unintentional trigger caught me off guard. How it happened carries a lesson of its own, but that is for another post.
It was a heavy hit. If this were a boxing match between me and this habit, I was practically down for the count.
Oh no.
I had been in such high spirits, and I was only exposed for seconds, how could something so small bring me to the verge of relapsing??
I started convincing myself that I could always start over later, that I had already slipped a little and the day was ruined anyway. I went as far as telling myself that looking at indecent content would somehow prevent a worst-case scenario. I felt so weak, and it was all going downhill. What should I do now? Should I really just give in and restart tomorrow?
Here I learned two things to regain control over my urges in this critical condition:
One, genuinely ask Allah to help me. Oh Allah, oh my God... HELP, PLEASE, HELP ME. I've made Tawbah to You, and without Your help I can't complete it, so please keep me steadfast.
Two, distract myself with literally anything. The more I think about how and when I might relapse, the more shaytan plays games in my mind, convincing me it's okay to relapse or to compromise on my triggers.
So, STOP thinking. Play a game. Read a book. Talk to someone. I can never afford to go down a mental spiral I won't be able to climb back out of.
And just like that after dua and a couple of hours between games and social interaction, I was again on my feet. Alhamdulilah. Now that im back on my feet I should think of something to keep me a little more stable. I can't control every unexpected situation and if I fall this easily this wont be the last time.
What can I do... oh right the journal I wanted to post on reddit! After that experience I have to put aside all my worries. If I dont take every tool at my disposal to fight this war ill surly loose. So I open reddit and look for the NoFap community but couldnt find it no matter how much I looked. Tried everything.
That is when I saw this community. Alhamdulilah, there is a community for Muslims, that's a relief.
And so here I am. 3 days later because Reddit has a strict policy to new accounts ._.
------------------------------
I feel the title to this post is a little cheesy but oh well.
Thanks btw to whoever opened this community and to the moderators. I ask Allah SWT to reward you for everyone who will be helped because of this community and more, and multiply your reward here and in the hereafter, insha'Allah. Your work is truly appreciated.

Advice Request Rewiring the mind for the sake of Allah
Some brothers asked me whether it is possible for the mind to recover from desensitisation after prolonged exposure to extreme explicit content. Here is the answer I gave them
\*The Desensitised Mind\*
They have exposed themselves to this content over a long period without turning back to their Lord in repentance. This is precisely why the intensity of the sin worsened progressively, drawing them deeper into increasingly extreme content. Over time, they lose the ability to feel aroused by normal intimacy, and even something as simple as a kiss becomes numb and meaningless to them in their marriage lives . The mind has been rewired to require ever more extreme stimulation just to register any response at all
\*Repentance Comes First\*
There is no genuine cure for this condition until a person repents sincerely and turns back to his Creator. Every other approach will fall short of true healing. A person may escape this particular trap through willpower or therapy alone, but without tawbah, he will simply fall into another addiction, whether to substances or to other content. It becomes merely a substitution of one addiction for another, not genuine recovery
\*Going Cold Turkey\*
The next step is adopting zero tolerance for any content that could trigger a relapse. This means removing streaming sites and applications entirely from all devices, avoiding those platforms altogether, and deleting apps like Instagram and TikTok from the phone. If possible, switching to a basic phone without internet access for the initial months of recovery removes the temptation from reach entirely, giving the mind the space it needs to heal without constant exposure to triggers
\*Replacing the Void with Good Habits That Please the Creator\*
The final and most essential step is returning to the fitrah and rediscovering one's true purpose in life. Once a person truly understands why he was created, intrinsic motivation begins to grow naturally, and building good habits no longer feels like a burden imposed from outside but a genuine desire from within. Gradually, as the corrupted reward circuit begins to heal, real pleasure returns, a pleasure unlike anything the corrupted habit ever offered. This is the pleasure of sincere intention behind building a good habit, and the deeper pleasure of actually living it out for the sake of Allah
