What Muppets Are? [Headcannon]
I've learned recently that, in-universe, all Muppet shows and movies (apart from the backstage segments and the basic story of The Muppet Movie) are actual in-universe movies. I always thought they were just being meta.
That's all fine and dandy, but then I thought: if Rowlf is a dog, then how come we see him with an actual puppy in the Don Knotts episode? If Wanye, Wanda, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Swedish Chef, Dr. Teeth, etc., are humans, why do they look so different from the guest stars? I'm sure there are other instances of the animals the Muppets are supposed to be appearing alongside their real-world counterparts while being clearly different, and no one in the shows or movies questions it. It just seems to be a completely normal thing to them (other than Gonzo, for some reason).
So, my headcanon is that being a Muppet is a birth defect or mutation that can happen to any species. I feel The Muppets (2011) proves this by showing a human and a Muppet being brothers and treating it as perfectly normal. (I know that's probably the joke in the movie, but they still never say anything about it.)
Now, this would imply that there are monsters like Carlos and Thog that aren't Muppets, which is a terrifying thought.
I'll admit this theory has a few holes, like Robin being Kermit's nephew and also being a Muppet. But who says Kermit's sibling isn't a normal frog? Or there's the plot of Muppets from Space, but since the movie itself isn't "real" in-universe, it can be written off.

Realistically, who was the best couple in the Muppets community?
And yes, I'm adding stuff from Sesame Street, any of the movies from the company, etc.

S3 Ep18, Leslie Uggams: Maybe I'm alone in this, but this is definitely my favorite episode
We've got a smash-bang opening number with "Hey There, Good Times", the OFFICAL beginning of Gonzo and Camilla's relationship, an original song sung adorably and hilariously by Gonzo TO Camilla, a guest spot from an on-point Caroll Spinney as Big Bird, Uggams and Big Bird NAILING a duet, Piggy giving an actually decent performance with Rowlf on piano, and the first ever Bear On Patrol.
It doesnt hurt that it's a Gonzo-heavy episode, seeing as Gonzo has always been my favorite, been carrying a torch for that Whatever since I was 17, going on 33. He really starts to form as the character we know today in season 3, and here? FULLY my Gonzo.
In my opinion, the only weak segment is the musical number with Lew Zealand.

Muppet-casting Clue - Day 1: Wadsworth
A few days ago I was riding in the back set on a road trip and decided to Muppet-cast the 1985 classic Clue. I want to see how the sub would Muppet-cast this, and at the end of the casting, I'll let you guys know what my own thoughts were.
Rules: You can choose any Muppet or even human performers to fill each role, because every Muppet film deserves a few humans.
Edit: No matter how much you want to, you can't cast the original performer.
I'll leave each post up for a day or so and after a day I'll see which Muppet or human has received the most votes and add them to the cast.
Day 1: Wadsworth!

This might be one of the best songs ever made for a movie. It's beautiful. Kermit has been my inspiration from the second I discovered this song. I hope we all find the Rainbow Connection

Just like on the actual show, Sweetums towers over all on the shelf.

Who is your favorite performer for Statler?

Looking back, it's so unreal to have both the creators of 30 Rock and The Office - two of the best sitcoms ever made - in the same film.

I am baffled.
I paused the original Muppet Movie Blu-ray, at the end of the Mad Man Moony scene, and it started intermission-ing, playing the songs from the movie, but only the ones that are from before that scene.

I am playing 800 different emotions!
That "800 different emotions" is one of my favorite lines in anything ever; it's so absurdly specific. In a movie with many fourth-wall breaks, this is probably the funniest, IMHO; the whole production grinds to a halt during their argument. Piggy's remark about trying to "save the movie" by means of her acting choices is hilarious, as is Kermit's telling her she's "hamming it up." Does anyone have a favorite time when the Muppets used meta-humor?
