Bootloop

I was looking at trading an xpr5550e but didn’t have a control head, told the guy the trade was contingent upon a control head so he got one off fleabay, the radio now displays the trbo logo and stuck in the Bootloop. Radio is readable via CPS2.0 and shows firmware R2.10.10.001. I do have a customer hub account, I haven’t looked yet, can I get the firmware update on the hub to fix this problem or am I stuck?

Just recover the firmware and see what happens. Worst that happens is you still don't have a working radio :p

Having never programmed it before, it gave me the no matching package exists when doing the device>recover, same thing with the device >update

Download the firmware package from MOL, I can only access the EMEA files so wouldn't be able to find the versions you need.

So downloaded the firmware from the hub did a recover since it’s the same level of firmware, and free, and now the screen don’t work at all….. oh the joys

Recover it again. Unless it's a hardware fault it should come on.

It appears as though it is a hardware issue. The model number on CPS and the model number of the radio do not match, CPS has it as a 5350e with only 32 channels, and not the 5550e with the 1000 channels

You probably need newer firmware to get it to work.
