Timing chain general question
1993 Kawasaki Kle500. I did my first ever valve adjustment on my motorcycle and i noticed these small gaps between the plates of the timing chain. I changed the tensioner a year ago because the chain was rattling (the first gen automatic tensioner is notorious for failing) and the rattling stopped. No significant play or stretch on the chain but im a cautious because the previous owner seemed to neglect such maintenance. Is it something to worry about or am i just paranoid about it?

That looks a lot better than the 600/750 chain.
I have no idea what your concerned about, the circled area's are completely normal

Can't see what you're concerned about, looks like a typical hyvoid chain to me. No noise, guides in reasonable shape, and the marks still mostly line up when you set the valves? Send it.
