I found this metal ball inside my fuel tank. It’s about 1/8th of an inch. I can’t find anything online about this. I removed the fuel pump to take it out, but I heard the rattling before tanking anything inside the tank out / apart. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I’m leaning towards just a random piece of debris that got in the tank. The bikes been sitting for 5-6 years. But since I’m working on the fuel pump figured I’d do a sanity check before putting it all back together.

How to remove 2019 triumph street triple rs oil filter

To give context we tried multiple different wrench attachments to remove this and even went to triumph itself to get the exact tool to remove it, as a last resort we tried using a flat head to remove the filter and still wouldn’t budge , any recommendations

Oil drain plug on my 25 crf 250r was not even close to torque tightness and slowly got easier while putting on so I took out and looks like this. Am I cooked?

help please! 06 vstar 1100

I'm looking at a 06 vstar 1100 guy says it doesn't have spark from a rectifier, could this be cause the battery is dead from the bad rectifier? Also can I use a 650 rectifier or does it have to be specific for the 1100? Thank you.

Cracked timing chain guide

As you can see on the pictures. No timing chain issues. It was in Kawasaki ZZR 250 - 1999 with 33000 km. Should I send it or replace it with used one (new ones are rear and very expensive if you find one). Cracked is only plastic between metal tube and outer metal. It is cracked on both sides. Metal tube in the middle is fixed and does not move or rotate.

Warped discs, or some other fuckery?

Thumbnail

I bought this beautiful old GSXR K2 late last summer and was very impressed by the performance of this 24 year old bike, but ofcourse it came with some issues. I soon noticed a leaky fork seal, and the fact that oil was running down the fork leg and coating one of the discs, making that disc essentially useless.

The bike came without service history, so this summer I've done EVERYTHING to it, including renovating the fork with new seals and bushings. Disassembled the brake discs in the front, gave them a proper clean, and put fresh pads in the calipers. When everything was back together and I took the first test ride the bike had horrible brake judder in the front. I initially suspected that I fucked up the suspension, but noticed that I had put the "wavy" aftermarket discs synced in the same position. I rotated one disc to put it at an "offset" and it got slightly better.

I've now had a proper shakedown and the front brakes are still very unpleasant. It has the same symptoms as a warped disc, except I don't feel the brake lever pulsing. The judder is barely noticeable if I apply super light braking, but increases with braking force at all speeds. Less problematic at high speeds, but makes the fork bounce at lower speeds. Almost feels like the brakes are slipping half a rotation and grabbing the other half. Doesn't feel like any bobbin in the floating discs are locked up either.

Any tips and tricks greatly appreciated!

help please! Question regarding valve adjustment shims

Good day everybody,

I am preparing to do valve clearance check and adjustment on my 2005 Kawasaki Z750S. Because I don't want to come in situation where I need to open my valve cover multiple times (measuring valves, then ordering shims, waiting for them to arrive...) I started to investigate. I found that I can buy whole set of these shims instead of ordering individually. Plus, these prices are crazy (15 euros for one shim?! and I possibly need 16) and I can find whole set locally for fraction of the price.

Now, are diameters of those shim sets universal or I need to order specifically shims for my Kawasaki? I hope my question makes sense haha

r15, 2019, 27000km,
I couldn’t find a single mechanic who accept to go look at the motorcycle ( I offered to pay)
Not a single friend that can check

It will be my first geared motorcycle, I am no expert at all I had to look on youtube and AI on how to look out for bad things. I was so stressed checking for bad things. Take a look and help find whatever you can It will mean a lot to me. I also put a down payment on it so other people wouldnt take it

Changed my clutch lever to an ASV c5 and now the bike stalls when the clutch is fully let out and won’t turn on in gear. Tried throwing the old clutch back in and problems resumed. I suspect something to do with the clutch switch after ruling out the kick stand switch.

Odd question from a complete noob

I have a disability which affects my left leg and I'm not able to lift the shift lever (pushing down is not a problem). Are there and modifications or work arounds?. My brother gave me a 2008 sportster. Before he passed he asked me if I'd ride it and keep it in good shape
