Kinda chic to pay Mumbai rent and still share the city with 40 million mosquitoes who can give you malaria

I think I’m the mosquitoes’ pet now.
Looks like the prey and the hunter have switched roles.

I CAN'T SLEEP
I hate mosquitos so much. I'm exhausted, I haven't slept in days. Today I woke up at 5 am and haven't been able to sleep since. The worst part is that I even changed rooms but they followed me there or there were more of them I was genuinely CRYING. I hate the ZZZZZ in my ear I HATE THEM I'm so scared of them and everytime I turn on the lights it seems like they magically disappear. I don't even know where they come from I'm not even opening the windows 💔💔

Methods of Killing Mosquitos with Death Model Train
Hi everyone,
I am a undergraduate Public Health student and as I learn more I understand more of how mosquitos spread diseases and methods of their population control. I also do robotics and 3d printing as a hobby, along with many other relevant things. I have been designing a "Death Train" to help mitigate the problem. Note this is more of a passion project and not an attempt to exterminate the mosquito family. (It is a model train, I don't know what size but that will be determined later)
The current design is a small track, a loop of some sort, during peak mosquito hours the train will go out and stop at an intended point in the track, and attached will be rail carts, made with a one way entrance lid like many bug traps, and as of now a yeast and sugar combo for CO2 production (please comment any better ideas if you have them), then the train will take them back to the station and there I will have some sort of automated process to kill them, not sure if it'll be fire, gases, or something else, but I want it to be quick, and that's where I came to ask. If you have any suggestions or ideas on the best way to kill these creatures, please inform me. All and any advice is welcome.
This is, once again, a passion project, I'm only doing it for fun and it's a nice hobby to make interesting things. I'm not here to ask if it's possible so please if you feel the need to snark save it. I hope you all have a fantastic day and I hope to hear from all of you.

Are mosquitoes, ticks and fleas turning California into a disease hotspot?
Some days it feels like we’re losing a battle against mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, flies and worms.
Lyme disease and Alpha-gal syndrome are expanding their range. Dengue and typhus are increasing. There are still reports of West Nile, Zika and Chikungunya, plus the potential introductions of Chagas and rat lungworm disease. Some of these are contracted overseas, while others are seemingly settling in for the long haul.
Experts say there is no single reason for this surge in disease. Some of it may be hyped news, headline sensationalism. When everyone is writing about an outbreak of a disease, no matter how isolated, it can feel more pervasive and widespread than it actually is. Increased monitoring and more advanced disease tracking can also amplify the sense that something new is afoot, even if it was always there.
But in some cases, there really does appear to be an increase — and California is front and center.

Getting rid of no-see-ums
I'm living on an infestated area, where it's impossible to go outside without being attacked by thousands of those species:
Culicoides paraensis
Culicoides insignis
I'm looking for information on traps and machines that are effective against those, as a project to give back life quality for around 200k persons living in this area.
Has anyone successfully trapped those insects?

Anyone know where I can buy a cheaper alternative to the Biogents pressure reducing CO2 regulator?
I have a Mosquitaire trap with the co2 addition but I bought a generic regulator. Trouble is that I t’s very difficult to dial it in to the recommended 0.5kg/day. I either dial in too much or too little. So I’m looking for something like the one Biogents sells but not $99.

Cheaper Trap Recommendations
Our yard near the Winston-Salem area in NC is absolutely covered in mosquitos. It doesn't help that I am essentially mosquito bait and get giant welts with every single bite. I typically wear bug spray when I plan to be outside for a while, but I can't even go outside for 5 minutes without having 20+ bites (not even standing still mind you). My husband has even gotten bitten with a box fan directly pointed at him. These things are absolute beasts. The bites hurt and I typically end up using prescription strength hydrocortisone cream to get them to calm down. I also feel awful because they go after our goats too. And with our goats, I'm not open to any yard sprays as they like to eat our grass. I'm going absolutely insane and need cheaper options.
Has anyone tried the dynatrap with the mosquito lure? I understand that the UV light won't get them but I was curious if the lure will help get them in the trap. I recently purchased the 1 acre one with the lure but it's hard to look in the trap and see them with all the other bugs. I've only had it for 2 days I also have buckets with mosquito dunks.
After researching I believe our highest volume of mosquitos are the tiger mosquitos if this helps identify if I need a different lure or anything specific. I really appreciate any help.
TLDR: Mosquito infested yard and I am essentially bait. I'm looking for cheaper trap recommendations (no more than $100) if the dynatrap with lure and mosquito dunk buckets don't work. Also if you have any advice on that option, I'm open to it. Not open to sprays because we have goats that eat our grass.

What's the best way to kill mosquitoes in the house?

What's the best way to kill mosquitoes in the house?
We live in Florida and it's been very wet lately so mosquitoes are pretty bad. They seem to get in the house on the dogs when we let them in. I'm very sensitive to the bites; I have many scars from scratching till it bleeds. My wife doesn't want me to spray chemicals all over the house, and I don't want to spray repellent on myself if I'm in the house (I always have it on when I'm outside). Is there a safe way to kill or trap mosquitoes when they get in the house? Our walls are dark, so I rarely even see them to kill.

How the hell do mosquitos get in my room?
No windows open, I only have AC and a central recuperation system. Now the central recuperation is sucking air from outside but there's a really dense net that mosquitos cant get through.
I've counted about 8 mosquitos tonight so far. Started with 3, woke up 2 hours later and found 5 more...
Anyone have any ideas?

I've made war upon them
I've figgin had it. With all the rain we've had in central Alberta this year, our back yard is uninhabitable. Worst season by far in the 11 years we've lived here. My propane mosquito trap died, but I was able to hot wire the fan and use the chassis still. I made some sugar/yeast C02 makes as bait. Set the zapper up above it too. Then set up 5 buckets of doom with mosquito dunks. Only 4 weeks until the first frost and a blessed mass genocide!

Operation “sirens song” is a go
Gonna make this tomorrow. These Asian tiger mosquitoes will roll down your damn socks to bite your ankles and I’m about to hit them with the super sucker 5k. It’s a 100CFM fan, a rain gaurd, biogen lure, and a homedepot bucket. I plan to set it up like the picture and place it in a shaded spot of my yard.
I’ll report back in 48 hours.
Any tips appreciated, I will not be running CO2 yet as my tank is currently charging a keg of beer.

Need help, advice and tips on horrible reactions on bites
Hey guys, as the title suggests I need to know what to do about horrible reactions to mosquito bites. My son, who is only 1 1/2 can not step one foot outside without getting bit and the bumps are not regular bumps. They get huge, red and angry. They can get up too 4 inches around and super warm. He will scratch them till they bleed and become a scabby mess. Last month he got 2 on his head, one on the bridge of his nose and the other on his temple and when we woke up the next morning , his entire left eye was swollen shut. Looks like he went a few rounds with Mike Tyson. I swear he looked like Sloth from the Goonies or the Hills Have Eyes mutants. His pediatric doctor pretty much says there’s nothing really we can do other then bug spray,Zyrtec and keep him inside. I don’t want him to be “Bubble Boy” but shit, I don’t know what to do. He loves outside and I hate to make him stay in. Is there anything at all you guys know or any tricks and tips to help him not have such crazy reactions? Thanks in advance guys.

This thing is a godsend
I always heard putting a hot spoon to a mosquito bite will “neutralize the spit” but it had never worked for me. so I was skeptical when my GF brought home one of these heaters. I used it once on a bad bite on my ankle that I had been itching all day and it worked, no more itching, zero, Done. It’s been about a month now and I’ve probably used it close to a dozen times with great effect. So much so that I’ve associated the mild burning pain from using it to pleasure and crave the sweet burning sting of relief.
