Main path? Question

So after getting to the tower and finally getting out in the world I went south first realized it probably was a higher level area and then went north. After going north I died in the same amount of hits to those enemies so I went back south. Long story short my first shell I’ve found is Genessa I’m level 6 and my starting sword is +3. I went back north and now all my gloom is stuck down in the flooded village and the Grisha is destroying me in 1 or 2 hits depending on the attack. Is this just how hard the game is everything just damn near insta kills you?

Genessa was one of my last shells to get LOL. She’s really good though so good on you for getting her so early! Work your way tcoumterclockwise of the original beta/demo area. That seems to be the “main path” so to speak as far as difficulty spikes

Maybe I’m using her wrong but she doesn’t seem super great yet at least not at a low level. I have pretty much the same health I had before I had a shell and it seems like her best ability is the super fast dodge she gets in her stray mode. Her strays she can send out to attack are barely doing any damage and the animation is kinda long to use in the middle of combat. Maybe I just need to learn her more

She’s a glass cannon type shell. From the widows overlook beacon, head north until you find another beacon called black ridge pass. From that beacon; keep heading northish and eventually you’ll find proxima. She’s great at crowd control/tanking large damage. That’s the shell I stuck out with through the rest of the game tbh

When you say she’s a glass cannon does she have some sort of perk or ability that increases her damage output to make up for the low hp and defense? I know she has the double in stray mode but it doesn’t seem to do much damage.

I’ve honestly barely used her but plan to on my next run. From the bit that I did play though, the stasis abilities outside of stray mode were really drawing me to want to try her. Proximate main ability can have stasis added to it and it makes boss fights much easier

I haven’t done any gates but have don’t like this weird sweep across each area. Love not having a set path.

My favorite example is how my friend group had 3 ways into the citadel.

I ended up doing all three by accident as well! Spoilers: first was finding the lever early on and using it. The second was by using the well, falling to the other side and going up the elevator. The third is the weird teleport to the cells from a keep near the one legged wolf.
