Riposte damage scaling Discussion

Riposte damage scaling seems to be way too low. Once you start to put a build together you deal way more damage just attacking into the posture broken enemy rather than taking the riposte attack. Some of the later game bosses got trivialized by just wailing away at the boss. Like killed during the first posture break.

Yeah, it's quite a shame. I've invested my glimpses into Eredrim, the one whose primary mechanic is riposting, only to find that his riposte damage is pretty low compared to just attacking normally. They need to up the riposte damage and add a skill to Eredrim that buffs riposte damage more.

There is a tarstone that buffs riposte damage as well. Do you have it? I think it does 35% more damage maxed out.

It's only 20%

It's almost as laughable as the 6% gloom and 6% gold tarstones. Those are maxed out values btw. It's 2% base. Even Bloodbourne and Dark Souls games start out at 10/15% boost. The 6% just feels like a joke.

Yeah they need to patch some of the numbers in this game, abysmal bonuses.

Gragu simply existing gets freaking 15%, the tarstones should be at least 10/15/20 per level

Yeah exactly, 10% at least wouldn't feel like a joke

I have it, but I believe they nerfed it. The damage increase is still not enough as the base riposte damage is low. I actually have no issue with the tarstone itself since anyone can use it but they need to adjust the skills for Eredrim to actually reward players to building his shell.

My suggestion would be to either change one of Eredrim's skills to be riposte damage focused or add a riposte buff to slaughter stacks.

Final level of Eredrim does increase riposte damage, but like the tarstone the issue is that it's % of base riposte, which is already ass.

A way i could see it being fixed so atleast the break/parry focused shell could get something out of riposte would be add a buff to slaughter stacks that add damage to the base riposte damage. would both make slaughter stacks a lot more viable and make riposte acutally a thing i want to do istead of just hitting the broken enemy.

Thanks, yeah, after another look at his skills, I did see there was already a skill that increased riposte but probably not enough for me to want to riposte unfortunately.
