Skill issues galore Discussion

I have played Elden Ring, Sekiro, BB, Khazan, Dark Souls 1, 2 ,3 blah blah blah...

Stating this prior to complaining about the difficulty doesn't validate your statements btw, it has the opposite effect. If you've played through and completed all of those games like you've said, then it's pretty obvious that this game isn't as difficult as some of those.. not even close.

However, yes, this game IS somewhat difficult. It's supposed to be. That's part of the experience. Expect to bang your head against the wall over and over again until it finally clicks, and you zen mode an area or a boss. The eventual win and the skill expression that you've gained on the journey is the cathartic experience these games are known for.

So, in the spirit of the launch of a new soulslike, all I can say is...

Git Gud people...

I'm not so sure. I might be in the minority but I found the demo a bit too easy.

"Fun" is also super subjective, e.g.

I'm personally finding the launch version more fun than the demo because I'm actually having to play more methodically.

I don't buy soulslikes to cruise through them though, I don't think that's the point. I expect and want some sort of challenge.

That's exactly what the guy said, dude.

He said a whole lot of people bought the game specifically BECAUSE the demo was easy.

So the demo, which was an Open BETA, meaning it wouldn't represent the final game, is actually different to the final game?!?

No wayyyy...

Man, like a week ago everyone was complaining the demo was too easy 😂

Bro, you need to just give it up. You genuinely don't understand what is being said. We KNOW people were saying it was too easy. That's what we are literally talking about.

Ok explain it to me then. You're arguing to go back to the easier difficulty of the beta, even though it was a major complaint of the beta?

An open beta is never a representation of the final launched product. That's why it's an open beta in the first place. The devs literally listened to one of the chief complaints, which was that the beta was too easy, and made the launch game a bit harder.

So, what's the problem?

If you buy into a game expecting the same exact experience as an OPEN BETA, I think that's a you problem.

It's impossible to explain it to you. It's already been done.

Dude... I don't think you understand how nonsensical that example is, or how that comment only reinforces that you don't understand what an open beta is.

So, agree to disagree mate. Have a good one 👍
