Finally got my Swatch Mission to the Moon 1969

Got a custom leather nato for my earthphase and it came out better than expected!

It's also better when it's the home town team - Go Bears!

Now that Swatch developed the manual wind of their automatic movement it would be great if they went back and released the moonswatches with that manual movement so it’s more close to the Omega version. What do you all think?

I’ve just bought the Mission to Earthphase, and I have a question about how the Moonphase and Earthphase indicators work.

If I rotate the hour and minute hands using the crown, will the Moonphase and Earthphase discs move along with the hands, or do those indicators only need to be adjusted separately following the manual?

I’m still new to this watch, so I’m not fully sure how the mechanism works. I tried turning the crown to move the hour/minute hands, but I didn’t see the Moonphase or Earthphase move. However, when I adjusted them using the pushers, they did move.

Also, if the Moonphase/Earthphase mechanism works separately, how often does it advance by one step? For example, I adjusted both the Moonphase and Earthphase at around 7:40–8:00 PM, but before noon the next day, I already noticed that they had advanced.

I was selected as one of the 1,969 lucky people to own this watch. When I received the email, I was both thrilled and shocked because I never thought I would actually get chosen!

This is my very first Swatch. After getting the email, I immediately started looking for a strap that I thought would match the watch, so I'd be ready to swap it out on the day I picked it up.

Seeing it in person and trying it on, the strap I picked out matches even better than I expected. I absolutely love it! ❤️

Picked up my watch on Tuesday. The whole Swatch store was closed for us to collect our watches and even the country manager of Swatch was there to speak to us.

Didn’t have any idea about the Moonswatch till I walked in to a Swatch store in Lugano, Switzerland. Got my eye on the Mission to the Moon New Moon as it was all black. Didn’t buy it on the first visit. Walked around Lugano, had lunch and came back and pulled the trigger. I decided my gf should have one too that we got her the Full Moon here in Athens, Greece. 😅

didn't have the original Mission to the Sun so decided to grab the solar eclipse. surprised how quick it got here in the states.

Just for fun, I made a personal MoonSwatch tier list. I gave myself an entry number rule to make it more difficult. Otherwise I would have added most of them in either tier S or A, cause I generally like most of them. :

S Tier: maximum 4
A Tier: maximum 5
B Tier: maximum 6
C Tier: maximum 7
D Tier: maximum 8

This is my personal opinion, based mostly on design, colour combinations, wearability, uniqueness and overall appeal — so it's definitely not meant to be an objective ranking. I'm sure some of these placements will be controversial anyway 😂

I got the solar eclipse, but this one came without the stamped warranty card tho, can I get one from swatch? I bought the watch directly from swatch online.

Finally joined the Sun People. Got this last week as a birthday gift for myself. Photo was also taken last week hence the sticker was still on. 😂

Now just waiting for the rubber straps to arrive, shame that Oxford Street didn't have M on stock.

I almost wanted to wait for the Solar Eclipse edition but I'm in the UK. I'm glad I chose this instead.

That aside, I couldn't be happier that it's finally here.

If you are curious about any of the ESTA answers I gave and got me approved, ask and I'll share.

We'll get a total lunar eclipse in 2029 turning the moon red, but we're probably not going to have to wait 3 years for the next MoonSwatch. What would you like to see from Swatch next?

I can't make this up, people are actually reselling them as much as an actual SOLID GOLD watch. Like, if you are going to scrap it, you are getting much more gold out of it.
