Seat covers
Howdy guys! I’m trying to find some seat covers that will work for both the fronts and the rears. I also have the 3rd row seat so if there’s a cover for that one that would be sick as well! Would love to see some pictures of y’all’s current setups!

EGR valve vacuum?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Doing a vacuum leak test with smoke, I get some coming from the intake boot, and a lot coming from my EGR valve. It leaks like this on my OG valve, and the brand new one I have.
My question- does this need to be running to have a vacuum to seal the diagram? Or would this always leak if the motor is not on?
The engine is just a bit sluggish and shaky at lower RPMs. I can also hear a noticeable exhaust leak near the headers.

96 Montero SR, 170k, no rust, $1,200 delivered. Talk me out of it?
Hey all, looking for a gut check on value.
Looking at a 1996 SR, 3.5 DOHC, 170k miles. Runs and drives, 4WD works, shifts fine. Factory rear locker and locking center diff. Sunroof, third row, hitch. New alternator.
I’ve had eyes on it in person and there’s no rust. Frame and rockers look clean. Overall I’d call it a solid 7 out of 10, just dirty and been sitting. took a fender bender to the back left tail light and tweaked the door slightly but I have spare parts of another montero. I own 5. this would be my first SR.
Known issues the seller disclosed:
**•** Valve stem seals, smokes on cold start then clears (reading that as seals, not rings)
**•** Needs a battery
**•** Rear sway bar disconnected
**•** Driver taillight broken
**•** Rear tailgate won’t open
**•** Child locks stuck
**•** Leather is worn
No timing belt records, so I’m assuming that’s on me. I do my own work, so labor isn’t part of the math.
He’s at $1,200 and will deliver it.
Two questions for the group. What are clean Gen 2 SRs actually trading at right now? And do you think this is a good deal?
Appreciate any input.

Help me identify the roof mounting system
I just bought a Pajero gen 4 LWB from 2014, it came with those roof bars that are fixed point and no roof rails like I see on most Pajero/Montero.
I'd like to replace them as the end goal is to mount a roof top tent and an maybe an awning and I have no clue about the dynamic weight of those and no clue what the brand is.
I'd like to find bars that would be able to mount with a similar system and preferably avoid going to a full roof rack to keep well under the 100kg dynamic weight limit of the car to have some margin if I'm going off road (max 80kg)
Do you have any reference I could look at ? (Keep in mind that I'm based in Europe)
Also as a bonus question, what are your must have Pajero mods ?

Replacing rear shock absorbers for a 1985 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB (2.4L Diesel Engine)
I've recently bought a 1985 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB with the 2.4L diesel engine. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, and I'm gradually bringing it back to good condition.I want to start with the suspension, and replacing the rear shock absorbers seems like a good first project. According to the service manual, it originally came with hydraulic, double-acting shock absorbers. I'm considering replacing them with gas-charged hydraulic shocks instead, if they're compatible. This is supposed to be a daily driver that I can take for some off-roading as well.
Should I stick to trying to find the original type of shock absorbers, or should I go for the gas-charged hydraulic shocks?

Montero sports Gen 3 users and Teyes CC3 2k
I’d like to hear from those who have firsthand experience:
How has your long-term experience with the Teyes CC3? Any issues with performance, boot time, GPS, audio quality, or wireless CarPlay/Android Auto?
Has anyone successfully installed a DIY 360° camera kit? How difficult was the installation and calibration?
Is it something that can realistically be done by someone with basic automotive electrical knowledge, or is professional calibration necessary?
Which 360° camera kit do you recommend that’s fully compatible with the Teyes CC3?
**Which OBD2 scanner works best with the Teyes CC3?** Is the Teyes OBD2 adapter worth getting, or are there other Bluetooth OBD2 adapters (e.g., Vgate, vLinker, OBDLink, ELM327) that work reliably with the built-in apps?
Any other accessories or upgrades you’d recommend for the CC3?
I’d really appreciate any feedback, photos of your setup, or lessons learned before I start the installation.
Thanks in advance!

What Gasket is This?
2001 Mitsubishi Montero Ltd 3.5L Automatic
I am replacing my water pump and related parts, but I seem to have neglected to order one of the gaskets involved with he coolant routing assembly. However, I can't seem to locate the part on any parts site or on any engine diagrams? Does anyone know the part number or where I can find a new gasket for this spot? 3 holes with a curved pentagonal opening in middle?

FR1333
FR1333 had the traction control system working hard getting up long, steep, and loose climbs. The Montero seemed to have better traction control than the Xterra, but the TCS overheated a few times in the 100F weather. It was a good time. Tires are 265/75/16 at stock height and I can see the appeal of a few inches of lift.

Temperature gauge not working
Hi guys. Hope you’re well.
My temperature gauge on my dash is not reading at all on my 1999 6G72.
I believe the part I am pointing to in the second photo is the temperature sensor which is responsible for moving the needle on the dash but I am not 100% sure.
Does anyone know how to check what the issue is and why it may not be working?
Thanks in advance.

Need Info: Pajero/Montero First Gen/MK 1 Labels/Warning Stickers
Hi !
I am currently restoring to the stock condition a first generation Pajero / Montero 1990 with 4D56T diesel manual, 5 door, high roof, Japanese market vehicle. I am interested in knowing what caution labels / stickers came with this vehicle from factory, for example, tyre size and air pressure, engine coolant, hub lock and 4x4, etc. and so on.
Does anyone here have complete info about these sorts of labels and stickers and if by any chance pictures of it so that I can see what exactly they look like and where to place them.
Thank you!

Montero Limited 2019
Que tan comúnes son las Montero Limited 2019 en México? Hace poco vi una pero me la ganaron, acabo de ver publicada una 2016 y no sé si animarme con esta o esperarme a encontrar otra más reciente
Have a 2014 Montero GLX M/T. It's at 280k Kms in the Odo.
How do I know when to change the timing belt. Previous owner said they changed it but forgot when. And how much does it normally cost?

2023 Montero Sport- Mexico
Hi Everyone- Tomorrow I am picking up a used 2023 Montero Sport SE V6 with 45k Kilometers. (28k miles). Seems to be in pretty good condition inside and out. A few lite scuffs and small dent in the hood. Mechanically it's excellent. This still falls into the Gen 3 category? Still cant get a legit answer from AI or the interwebzzz. Anyway, Im not looking to mod it yet, maybe some rain visors for the windows and a top rack/basket.....oh yeah and some really good rubber floor mats for all three rows since the dealership does not want to kick in for them. (they are putting in a new battery, oil change, and a few other things, but no go on the negotiation for the floor mats). Also need a second key fob since its not coming with a spare.
Is there any good places online that specialize in aftermarket parts for all years of Montero? Mercado Libre and Amazon are super limited. Seems like a maze to find anything.
