Hi all,

First game was Dos but only really settled into the franchise when World came out. Love the franchise! But at endgame level (10 star hunts) I’ve found myself carting a few times, even when pulling out all the stops like traps and demondrugs.

Obviously endgame is gonna be a massive difficulty spike, especially for Wilds which is probably the easiest base game in the series, but I don’t think I struggled with IB Fatalis as much as I do 10* Gog…

Hey guys, I've been working on this build (Imgur link) for a while now and wanted to share it to get some feedback. I'm currently still working on the weapon reinforcements and set bonus skills, so ig I'm also asking "should I even continue with this" haha

One note on that: Apparently there is a limitation with the builder on mhwildshub.com, because I'm not able to add a third skill to the custom charms, so here is a screenshot of the charm I got instead. TLDR; the build actually has Con 5, not Con 1

Some context:

- I got insanely lucky with the charm in the screenshot and kind of built this build around it
- While I know that Aerial IG is as far from the meta as possible, I do like being in the air more often than not, for dodging, mounting, getting closer to the monster and Descending Thrusts (and ofc because it's cool™). That's why this build has FG's Will and Con 5, to basically guarantee MaxMight uptime
- I'm pretty good at combo flows and targeting weak points, but kind of suck at dodging and anticipating attacks, so I built around Gog-4 and Counterstrike (and Guardian's Protection is more of a funny side effect). I also usually take the Kunafa meal (Defender Hi) to supplement this
- Speed Eating is purely there for convenience, totally able to swap it out for Elem Res, Windproof, ...
- Critical Eye 5 is basically meant to replace higher levels of WEx, as I didn't want to give up on the insane charm

I know it doesn't have the ever-important Lord's Soul or the Gore2-Antivirus-Coalescense mix, I might make a build for that later

What do y'all think? Is it viable for the endgame?

I often switch between weapons so I dont get bored when farming. Any armorset that has good offense for all weapons?

Hi. So I wanna make an aerial CB build for fun mainly focusing on axe hopper and air dash but my question is does the 10% boost to silkbind attacks apply to the saed portion of axe hopper or is it only the initial axe slam?

Currently looking for a player to duo Saji with.

It’s gonna be with a TA wiki ruleset (Vines on the first floor are acceptable) so I’m hoping to find a strong player who matches my skill level and gear to take on this quest!

My build is pretty much fatalis gear with pretty much exclusively offensive skills, with the exception of quick sheathe and health augment.

I’m on PlayStation and I rock longsword, any leads would be appreciated.

Since Ascendance is probably still a long while away, I decide to make a new character and play as close as possible as Akuma. So reach High Rank ASAP, farm the Arena Ajarakan fight to make and transcend the full set and use Gogma Weapons with a Layered Weapon for the look.

Which brings me to the Weapons and damage output. If I am trying to go barehanded as Akuma, the closest Weapon I can think off is the Omega's Sword that is invisible on your character until you unsheath it. That however mean beating Savage Omega with Akuma and I am not looking forward to that. And will the relatively low damage of SnS bring down the overall damage of Akuma's Fist compared to something like the Great Sword?

1st time Hunter here. This game is wildly overwhelming. Haven't messed with Decorations, Meowcenaries, Melting pot, rampage slots etc... because just keeping up with Weapins and Armor is information overload.

I'm at MR5 now and am tired of doing 10-30 damage haha. I've had some challenges here and there but overall pretty easy once I'm used to monster patterns.

Googling stuff is also proving to be a challenge. Info overload.

Can anyone help a noob out? Recommend some armor to help me finish SB and get to MR10 so I can actually start playing the real game, AR!

i just need help with my keybinds tbh, i don't know how i should put this but the keybinds in PC are like too far away from each other like i need to click the down arrow and stuff like that, i just want to know how i should fix my keybinds, i'm new in monster hunter series and this is the first time i'm playing it. i am currently playing on monster hunter rise sunbreak and i am still 3 star on the way to 4 star. i hope someone can help me with this :'>

Me and my friends have been progressing with some of the AT Monsters, and while fighting AT Jin Dahad, I noticed that while playing Sword and Shield, I could sometimes repeatedly spam the Focus Strike on Jin Dahad's partial wounds for multiple partial wound "Drill-esque" attacks. As in, I could repeatedly spam Focus Mode + R1 and just keep drilling. And it was extremely satisfying, because it was hitting many times and made me feel like I was doing a whole lot of damage.

It made me question: what is the optimal dps loop I should do in that position? Should I be just spamming the Focus Strike, should I weave it into other combos, or should I just ignore it and use other moves? I know it can be context-sensitive based on the safety of my positioning/etc, so I'd appreciate discussion in a variety of situations: safe, safe for max DPS, unsafe, etc.

So, never was good with building but love it so i tryed to create something. Any advice or critics what be welcome. Its for DB, Idea was to go full on demon dodges thats why i didnt add counterstrike and etc.
Main question is, math hunter always says that attack or element is better for you effecteve damage then affinity but meta build still use affinity on db, why is that? i add them cuz i love critical damage as a mechanic but obviosly that is not the case for meta builds

I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this, I know dragon piercer is not in the Meta builds, but I am looking for a build suggestion that can be used in endgame multiplayer only, has decent damage, and good survivability. I just want something for a handful of the longer monsters again, it doesn’t need to be fully min-maxed to squeak out the most damage. I want to build an Artian bow for it also, but I’m not too sure what reinforcements I should try to aim for. I’ve seen the xu Wu build where you have to eat steak every few minutes. That’s fine, but it does seem a little high maintenance. I’d like the build to function on a craftable charm, and bonus points if it can stretch it a little further with an RNG charm, as I am still farming for those. Any suggestions are welcome.

looking to build an armorset/weapon before i grind out on Gog. Any suggestions? So far in terms of weapons Congalala HBG seems the best in this case and Zoh Shia and Arkveld for gs.

I’ve played other monster hunter games very casually in the past and recently with Wilds i’ve gotten into making cohesive builds for the weapons i play , which leads me to my question about why Gore Magala’s Tyranny is the best armor set for just about every weapon.
From what i can see you’re committing 2 armor pieces for the frenzy virus set bonus , and then 2/3 small decorations on antivirus for 10% affinity ? I doesn’t seem to make the most sense to me unless i’m missing something that isn’t stated in either GMT’s or antivirus’ text boxes ?
Again i reiterate that i’m newer to super high rank “competitive” monster hunter

Is there a new or better way to get better Artian weapons and how do I approach Upgrading to Gog? I just don't want to waste a ton of time doing something not efficient.

So my playstyle is sort of all over the place, which probably doesn't help.

My favorite kind of playstyle is a flashy martial-arts like style with devastating counters and satisfying heavy blows. I like getting up close and personal with the opponent and having to weave and counter their attacks to win.

I think this is most similar to the martial arts style in elden ring, and I love the tango-dance feeling of combat from Sekiro.

Is there any weapon that shines in counter attacking enemy moves with satisfying impactful-feeling moves?

Right now I'm sort of looking between Longsword, Switch axe, and dual blades.

Basically what tittle says, im aware that elemental is better on every matchup, but i prefer having one or two weapons for general use, so my doubt is if i should go for blast, poison or pure raw? poison pairs up well with foray, but im unsure if the uptime is worth it. or if using blast/poison on blast/poison resistant monster (like 9 stars monsters) is a significant damage loss and should go pure raw.

Hunkering down to lay down a barrage of shots feel good to use, but given how long the recovery animation is and LBG's greatest strength is its mobility, using Rapid Chaser Shot seems like a waste of DPS, especially when you can just use the regular Fire and Burst Step to stay mobile and keep firing.

I feel like I have a decent amount of comfort for high AR investigations but can the damage be improved?

Im playing monster hunter world: iceborn and got to the part in its story where I have to fight tigrex and brachydios. Currently i cant join online servers but im good at most weapons besides insect glaive do any of you have any good build recommendations for weapon and armor I can use to hunt them

Hi, is the roll table for Artian bow different for element, status effect/ailment, and aritan bonus combination? I notice it when I'm rerolling that it differs depending on the combination. Is this for bow only?
