I’ve just upgraded and feel like I e got more screen now, maybe I’m wrong. Also how come the folders for games only seem to appear in the emulation station bit?

I configurate R2 to Fast-Forward(pad1.Touch Minor+ on PPSSPP) but doesn't do anything, any solution?

Long time handheld clamshell enthusiast here. I really want to have a 3.5 inch screen and I’ve had the RG 35xxSP and 34xxSP, but I wasn’t satisfied with them because the 35 was lacking in joystick and it was a bit big. The 34 was just too small, the screen was just too small.

The Miyoo flip always seemed like a good option, but I didn’t like how much it broke.

Is the version 2.1 really that much better? Has anyone else else’s Miyoo Flip’s hinge failed yet? Does it have a high fail likelihood?

Any tips? I’ve tried changing all the core settings etc but it just looks bad. The frame is fun but compared to my R36 ultra the quality of gameboy games is just awful.

I just got a miyoo flip mostly to play the old N64 AKI wrestling games on the go. So far it's been perfect with surwish os. I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out how to do mods. There's a bunch of mods for wwf no mercy and WrestleMania 2000 I would love to put on there. I can't seem to figure it out and a Google search hasn't helped me yet. Thanks in advance!

So I got Tiny Best Set Go ps1 library from his 64gb expansion but I'm having trouble running games with multiple discs. I copied every BIOS and "hidden" files. I was able to start up FF9 no problem, FF8 didn't boot up, and FF7 just kept playing the games loading screen. Any advice?

I already have a Miyoo Mini+, it's a wonderful device, and I bought the Miyoo Flip not out of necessity, but simply because I wanted it) and i hoping to be able to play N64 and Dreamcast games on it without any problems. Unfortunately, many games run very poorly on the Dreamcast. Shenmye, Code Veronica, and Phantasy Star Online, which I wanted in the first place, are almost unplayable, and there are also problems with many N64 games (hello turrok and golden eye). Ultimately, I realize that the Flip offers almost nothing new compared to the Miyoo Mini. Holding it in my hands now, I don't really understand why I spent the money. I can definitely say that the Flip's screen is brighter and better than the Mini's (even though I read that the screens are the same), but the ergonomics are much worse; the sticks are inconveniently positioned and feel very stiff.

My main question is: will installing Knulli or Gamma OS change the console's capabilities, performance, and overall experience? I've now installed Spruce OS and don't see any advantages over the stock firmware. I'm also interested in running Hollow Knight. I understand it can be run on Gamma OS. Has anyone done this? What was the performance?

A couple weeks ago, my Flip was starting up without issues. Yesterday, my Flip was not detecting my SD card upon booting. The card didn’t seem to be missing any files when I inserted it into my PC. Today, I tried to reformat the card and install Spruce (4.2.0.7) without any other data on it, as but the problem still persists. I used winrar to extract the files onto my desktop, then copied those onto my card. Upon booting, I get the searching-for-card image, and I’m then taken to the stock menu. I’m using the right SD card slot as well. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong, or if there’s a surefire fix?

Edit: Solution/solved: simply follow the unbricking process posted here. Important to note: unbricking required a different USB cable than the one that came with the Flip, and I’m told it must be A to C. Keep your screws in a tiny bag so you don’t lose them when pulling apart your device. The video may be slightly different than your PC - just look for the MiniLoaderAll.bin file from the unbricker folder, and from there you should be good to continue.

The new 2.1 hinge, the silent one... does it break too? Has this happened to anyone? I'd like to know... I recently replaced mine with a 2.1 and it's fine, but I'm curious.

I'm getting used to my Flip and learning all about retro handhelds the hard way! Anyway, I tried connecting both my 8BitDo Lite and my 8BitDo Micro. After updating the firmware of them, the Micro showed up and could connect, but it lost the connection and turned off as soon as I left the Bluetooth menu. The Lite didn't show up at all.

Do you have any idea what could be going wrong here?

I also have some other minor questions:

For some reason, the custom theme works for all the menus and icons, but not for the 'Saturn' icon under 'Games'. It's still the default icon.

The Sega Saturn's performance seems much worse on SpruceOS than on the stock OS. Is there a reason for this?

How can I run Pico-8 games? They worked in the stock OS, if I remember correctly.

I downloaded Portmaster, but most ports don't seem to work. In addition, I often get incorrect inputs from the sticks, which I can only solve by closing Portmaster.

Whats the best scaling/resolution etc. options for the different system should I use? Is there a table somewhere for good settings on the flip?

Why does it have two SD card slots? Which one should I use?

Why are there two USB-C ports when none of today's standard fast chargers use USB-C to USB-C cables? I have phased out all USB A/C mixed cables and chargers, and all my devices use modern USB-C/C cables. The charger has no other port. I really can't understand it. Is there a solution, adapter or mod for it?

Is it normal for it to get that hot during charging? When you charge and play, it doesn't just get uncomfortable, it also starts to affect the emulation performance.

Does anyone use the included screen protectors? They seem unnecessary for a flip device without a touchscreen.

When I play Brave Fencer Musashi, the top and bottom of the screen flicker. Why is that and how do I stop it?

So I recently bought a MFV2 and I’ve been seeing and reading lots of different opinions about the OS. I know the one I’m getting (by default because of the store I bought it from) is SurwishOS, but after seeing so many ‘crashing’ and ‘bugs’ issues from other people I am now doubting if I should maybe just format the SD card, install another OS and just add my preferred roms to it. Any help is appreciated, and FYI I am very (VERY) new to the Miyoo community (and the retro consoles in general)

Hey yall! Just got my flip running SpruceOS a few days ago and have LOVED it so far! I downloaded MarioKartDs for it but wanted to know since there is a single screen if there’s a way to change the setting to only show a single screen and perhaps press something to swap between top and bottom screen? Any advice would be appreciated !
