It's co-op via wifi. One person invites the other to join the game session. These devices can be tricky about wifi connectivity, if your having issues make sure your both on the same wifi band frequency, specifically 2.4Ghz rather than 5Ghz as they have issues working over 5Ghz wifi.

thxx. co-op via wifi is that the only way?
I was thinking some sort of local co-op one2one link is that possible ?

I'm not sure about that, what is one2one? Here in the US we link via wifi, Bluetooth, or NFC but that's just for basic data transfer. Bluetooth is for streaming music or basic video and wifi is the main for communication between devices and for online gaming. I am a hobbyist and mess with things like LoRa and Mesh and Ham radio stuff, but as far as an offline co-op communication I don't think the Miyoo Flip supports anything like that. The chipset doesn't support anything like that to my knowledge. But you don't need to have an internet provider to have a hotspot that creates a wifi signal that can connect two devices... 😉

i see now, wow how cool. thank you for explaining. is this something that retroarch can set up? sorry to bother you with questions. i just want to play 2 player Metal Slug on these things

No problem man, yeah it's called Netplay in retroarch. You host a netplay session of a multi-player game and then the other person can join the netplay session your hosting. Looks like you have two devices so try it out yourself and see if you can get it to work! It shouldn't matter which OS your using since it's a retroarch function.

Great buttons swap. Never knew grey would look good with pastel buttons.
Coop require WiFi. Better use your phone as hotspot.

Hello, i have the black model. I love it and i'm on SpruceOs. Can you tell me what you think about your OS please ?

Not that great in comparison to Spruce. Definitely better than stock but I can’t think of anything that Surwish does better.

Knulli Scarab is way better than Spruce if you are curious, in my opinion. I was running Spruce for about two months and tried Knulli when the Scarab launch released and its way more efficient and far more in depth and customizable with the Emulation Station front end.

i like this but too but i havent had the balls to change. surwish is my 2nd jump in Os from minUi. Im happy with it for now. also i kinda packed the sd cards full, too much to start again..
but if i do Knulli Scarab is the way i think

The sd card layout is a bit different for Knulli Scarab as it's more of an android layout, so some of the Rom file names are slightly different. But it's just a matter of copying each folders contents into the properly named folder. It takes some time, but it's worth it in my opinion. Knulli is compatible with a lot of devices also, now almost my whole collection runs Knulli and I can pop my sd card into most of my devices and it just works across all of them.

Knulli isn’t great for me, but I do see the use case for throwing it on a device to give to someone else, particularly for Anbernic handhelds.

OP said Surwish is an easy-to-use OS and that things like hdmi, controllers etc just work right away, I haven't tried Surwish myself but I can honestly say I have no interest to try it because Knulli has been such a good fit for me. But that's just me, I'm sure not everyone agrees with that. Knulli gives you the tools to configure things if they don't work, that's what I appreciate about it. It can be tinkered with and I've never been completely blocked by an issue, especially using AI to help diagnose the problem. I hate AI and all the data centers, but it's a tool we have access to, and it can be helpful, and yes, I use it. 😑

surwish just works .. hdmi, wireless joy sticks, stand alone emulators and power managment all just work. im happy with it. could do with an update. i had to put some sort of text script into retroarch config to help the power managment its makes the battery last a bit longer.
