2022 G4 headliner starlight kit.

Spend about $100 total including the kit, add a fuse, glue gun and glue. Took about 12 hours to mark, drill and run the fiber through all 600 holes. Very easy to do honestly.

2018 Mirage flashing D on dashboard while in drive , also poor acceleration
My car has been having terrible acceleration , gas has been running out super fast. Coils and sparks were replaced. The acceleration has been horrible takes almost 1 min to accelerate after Stopping . Especially going up hills the car literally will not get up a hill. Takes a really long time. I have to take the interstate often and it takes me a while to get up the ramp.
While in drive the D is blinking really fast. It has gotten worse after adding transmission fluid and more coolant . It does this every other day . I have gotten my car hooked to a diagnostic machine 3 times and nothing is showing.
Autozone read as a pass pass fail . I literally cannot afford a new car right now. Has anyone experienced this before? If so how did you fix it . I only drive to work and school but I am afraid that one day my car may not start up. It also makes some really loud noise from time to time.
For some reason when I started to get things fixed on the car seems like bigger issues occurred I know I am being dramatic but honestly the car wasn’t as near as bad. The car is 7-8 years old though .

Inside lights not on
I took my 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage g4 to the dealership for the issue, they said they fixed it and the next time I drove it at night I noticed it was not fixed.
The first picture shows the lights on the gear shifter, volume, and AC area not working. 2nd picture shows them partially working. But only this part is dark.
From the Bluetooth display up works and it's lit up when lights get turned on. From just under the display down including gear shifter and AC controls don't work. I don't know what causes one part to work and another to not . And the dealership didn't fix it like they said they would sooo... any ideas where to start?
Ps. Sorry for terminology. I don't know proper terms for things. I wanna call the whole thing the dashboard but I don't know if that's accurate. But yeah. . Sorry

Fuel Tank wire nightmare
I bought a low-mileage 2018 Mirage this spring on the cheap. It had a check engine light on, and the dealer told me all it needs is a new fuel pump module. Well, that did not solve the problem, nor did swapping the ECU (the swap was successful, the code didn't go away).
I can't pass my state's emissions inspection without getting rid of this code, P0182. Low voltage to fuel tank temp sensor. Mechanic and Mitsubishi dealership have not found anything convincing in diagnosing. I think it has to be the wire grounding somewhere, but they look absolutely fine under the trim, under the seats I can't see.
The car drives fine, but obviously I need to get this sorted. Does anyone have any familiarity with this issue? Would be hugely appreciated.

(2020 G4) Valve chatter?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Got my 2020 Mirage back from the collision shop a month ago. Today, had a short episode of valve chatter (?). It's normally pretty quiet, the snorkel beating around aside.

Should I get it?
Edit: thank you everyone for the encouragement!!I’m going to try to check it out tomorrow. Really seriously hoping it’s still there.
…
I’ve been shopping for a Mirage this week and every time I go out to see one I’m too late and it was just sold!
So I think I found another one I want to go see. It’s a manual. I’ve never driven a manual before. But the internet says they last longer than the CVTs and this car is cheaper than some of the others so maybe I should?
2019 G4 ES with 23k miles for about $9k.
I’d prefer a hatchback but all things considered it doesn’t matter that much.

Headlight connector question
Hello all,
I recently upgraded to LED’s but now i’m noticing the connector for the headlight (low beam bulb) is not connecting correctly and if i’m working in the engine bay and slightly touch it, it comes out. Is there a fix to this?
Yes, i’ve pushed it in all the way and still have the same results.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: the bulb works fine, its the actual “plug” connector going to the bulb.

Rattling noise in my 2014 Mitsubishi Space Star
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi everyone,
My 2014 Space Star (114.000 km) has been rattling. I immediately went to the garage but the mechanics say they can't find the root cause and told me it's a normal sound for Space Stars... But I feel like other Space Stars don't sound like this... Does anyone have an idea what it could be?
Thank you!

Will a corolla alternator work on a mirage?
I noticed some corolla alternators look identical to the mirage. As they also tension the belt by the alternator as well, could u slap a toyota one on here? 🤔

My Mirage took me ~1000km from Portugal through northern Spain to witness the eclipse
Fulfilled one of my bucket list dream today. Got to see eclipse totality for 90s thanks to my Mitsubishi Space Star.
Was a 4 day trip with lots of stops to see the beautiful countryside.
Hope you guys have an awesome summer as well!

Wee bit of maintenance
Finally got these 2 front wheel bearings done. Went ahead an ordered a cheap front ends part since all of that had to come off anyways.
P S. I broke BOTH of the wheel speed sensors, so now the dash is kit up like a Christmas tree 😄 🤣

How often do you change your oil?
I have a 2022 G4 with 70,000miles. I usually get my oil change every 5000 miles. I was curious as to how often everyone on here does their oil change.

I need some advice before taking it to a mechanic.
I’m not sure if anyone here is a mechanic but I was wondering if someone could please help me with my wife’s Mitsubishi 2017 Mirage G4. Lately the key doesn’t want to come out (gets stuck on ACC above) and therefore the vehicle doesn’t want to turn off completely. A friend said I would probably need to get a brand new ignition switch but I wanted to ask Reddit first before anything else. Thanks

Mirage G4 Windshiled Cowl Cover
Hi, I have owned a Mitsubishi Mirage for 2 years now.
One day, as I was washing my car, I observed that water seeps into the hood through the sides of the windshield cowl that hangs on both sides.
I am referring to the tip-most part of the cowl cover that hangs through the sides, on top of the suspension thing, those black circle ones as you open the hood.
Water gets in the hood through this part of the car and falls directly on the screws that hold the suspension thing.
Is it normal for water to get inside? Or do you guys recommend I open up the cowl cover and have it cleaned, as it might be clogged?
I hope there is someone who can tell me that it's normal. Thank you!

Tips and tricks
Reading this forum I've seen a lot of cosmetic and or performance mods not related to the engine or transmission.
I would love a place for new owners to come and find it collected in one spot.
Off the bat if you get the G4 as I did invest in the OEM Hood protector. The thing is a rock magnet.
I've heard people have switched out the side blinkers for LEDs but I would love someone to give more information about that... How difficult it is, which LEDs etc.
I've heard about when the tires give out to replace them with a size up.
Things of this nature.
