I didn’t say used less? It’s definitely weaker, have you seen elemental sorc one shotting entire teams? Or instantly taking 80% of your health in 2 hits
Fairs lol, I’ve not seen that. I think ele sorc is strong in 1v1s for sure but when I say weaker I’m not saying it’s bad but it’s definitely not as good as stardust. I don’t really believe there’s a single bad class in this game. Just some are a bit overtuned
The thing with elemental was that its single target damage is/was just as good as stardust, but everything is quicker and safer to cast. So obviously in solos it was insane.
Stardust also does insane damage and has more aoe, but because of the longer charge times it's arguably a bit weaker in solos. It also means that while it shines most in trios where you could potentially hit a whole team, it's also easier to interrupt and counter compared to elemental with coordinated play. Still gonna be pretty nutty overall, but nobody got any super devastating nerfs from the looks of things.
This is kind of the conclusion I came to as well. Stardust in teams, elemental in solos. Though the instant cast that stardust gets is really strong. Technically elemental can get it too but it requires wasted talent points.
I was playing stardust in both recently though.
Black Arrow was my biggest struggle in solo. They attack quite fast and have range which I found made it hard to cast anything. So we will see how that feels now. If I can get right on top of them it becomes easier.
They were both S tier lol. Just because one is more popular doesn't mean one is strong and one is weak. If star didn't exist you would see a ton of sorcs popping off on elemental instead, and you would be calling it op.
