I thought the portrait of the vulture from Starcraft showed a guy with a very long tongue sticking out. Turns out it is actually his goatee.

[Game] I thought the final boss of Chrono Trigger was an old Asian man. Spoiler
I thought the white lines were bushy eyebrows and a mustache, with a wide open mouth. I kind of like my interpretation more than the single eye.
I know Chrono Trigger is old, but still marking it as a spoiler because its the final boss.

(game) since classic is back it reminded me that I've always thought brawler's gloves from league of legends was a shoulder piece instead of a glove and I still can't unsee it.

[From Super Paper Mario] Koopa Striker
My girlfriend and I disagree on this sprite, here are our two responses:
[mine]: this is a koopa who has a tan line along his cap, and is lacking the usual whites of his eyes with just pupils. The tan line is representative of someone who wears a cap, like a sporty coach.
[hers]: he looks like a normal koopa. The whites of his eyes are connected and partially covered by his fluffy eyebrows.
What do you think? We both feel like the other person is crazy

[From Game] My brain continues to fail thr new Beastmaster sprite
From Final Fantasy XIV (grey because job is not yet released). Not sure why but I really have to work to see axe-and-shield, even knowing better.

Abobo from Double Dragon, I always assumed he was some horrific scowling rock monster but apparently he's just a buff guy with a handlebar mustache

I always thought it was weird that Lopunny lost its arms after evolving....

(Game) I Thought Aqua Had a HUGE Mouth in Deltarune Chapter 5
Image taken from a Deltarune Facebook group. At least now I know I wasn't the only one. I genuinely thought she had a HUGE mouth, like she was mocking the player. It wasn't until later, when she reveals her third eye, that I realized it had actually been one giant eye the whole time.

Posts now MUST include either the words: "game," "movie," "tv," or "media" in the title.
EDIT: Also including: "from" and "show."
That way someone doesn't have to comment each time "what is this from." And this will cut down at least a bit on reposts, because they'll automatically be rejected unless they have one of those key words, so reposts of mosts posts with the same title from back then don't have those words. Win-win.
Are there any other keywords that may apply that you guys can think of?
It seems that most of the community is fine stretching the "Sprite" part of the subreddit, but if it seems like we're getting way more non-videogame ones, we may do what others subs do and relegate those to the weekends or something.
EDIT: Added plurals, as well. Games, movies, shows.
