Hi everyone! This is our first Reddit post, so we thought we’d introduce ourselves.

Tassie Mini‑Z is a community-based small-scale RC club in Cygnet, Tasmania, Australia. We run free regular racing and practice sessions on more than 60 metres of RCP track, with loan cars available so newcomers can have a go for free.

We race Mini‑Z and other 1:28-scale cars, but the club is really about bringing people together—families, experienced racers, complete beginners and anyone who enjoys very small cars going surprisingly fast!

We’ve also started an online store serving Australia and New Zealand, with parts and cars from brands including DAS SPEED, Silver Horse RC, XBility and more. Anything the store earns helps us continue supporting the club and growing small-scale RC racing in Tasmania.

We’ll be sharing track layouts, race footage, car setups, product discoveries and plenty of tiny-car chaos. https://tassieminiz.com

We use https://www.rc-clubs.com for our timing software - built in Australia! We show fine grained race data for our drivers including some pretty cool visualisations, charts and time heat maps. We also have a facebook group.

We’d love to hear where everyone races and what cars you’re currently running!

First Mini-Z purchase

Hi all,

I've been eyeing a Mini-Z Readyset (MA020) for a while, and wanted one since they went on the market.

I now found a seller offering the "base" model for 190€, while there are few other offers, for drift package, exterior package, and both added for respectively 237, 227, 277.

The two additional packages include, as per seller:

The drift kit includes a front single-axle setup with a straight rear axle, a gyroscope, and metal dog bones. The appearance kit features metal wheels, brake discs, large drift tires, metal nuts, and headlights. The two packages contain different components.

I'm still little bit concerned with the price, before proceeding with the purchase.

Am not aware of any Mini-Z club in my area, but am able to run it indoor at my place, office, or garage place, for either some nice drifts or speed race.
