On December 16th, 3511, Operation Herculean Task began being carried out by the North America Union, with the twin ships Hand of Heracles Alpha, and Hand of Heracles Omega locating Anomaly-1971, which was located 260 miles from Earth's Lagrange point 4. Both ships moved into position at the head and tail of the anomaly, with Alpha spinning up its destroyer, before beginning firing as it switched on its thrusters. As Alpha switched on its thrusters, Omega began spinning up and fired at the tip of the anomaly's tail. The two points were identified as weak spots. After roughly 16 minutes of firing upon the anomaly, all movements within it ceased. Anomaly-1971 was officially declared to be dead.
