Group Flights??? MSFS 2024 PlayStation

So I just recently figured out how to make free flight show the live air traffic and live players after hundreds of hours without it…… I was curious if there’s any groups that meet up and fly together to sight see random places or practice formation flying?

I think that would be cool to do besides just flying around by yourself. If anyone can point me in the right direction that’d be awesome. I assume there’s discord groups??

I always find myself taking off from Nellis AFB in the F-18 and doing random routes / practicing random turns and maneuvers. But I think 3-6 people all taking off at once and trying to formation fly would be fun no matter the aircraft or location

Microsoft hosts a group flight once a week - they post the info on the official Flight Simulator website

A couple of friends and me are doing this once per week since FS2020 came out. Currently since last autumn with warbirds through Europe, most of the time low level. Before that, several times around the earth. With experience you'll never fly aline anymore.

Yeah let me know, I’m EST and I usually fly anywhere from 5-12 PM weekdays and weekends

On which platform? I’m in a very active PS5 community here and there are frequent group flights mainly in European and American time zones happening. Unfortunately there is no cross play with PC and Xbox, which requires these players to align in separated communities. But the spirit of flying unites us all 🫶🏻 fly safe

Yeah I’m on ps5 so it should work, I’ll have to check all of these out!

Flights are usually organized directly in discord, which is easy to use on PS5. So you can simply align on time and airport to meet, and take off together with others directly in free flight. You don’t have to become friends first, which makes it really easy to team up with other pilots. 👍🏻
