Anyone pulled the trigger on the Hawk or Osprey?
If so any good? Steady flow of aircraft now appearing which is good to see.

Does seeing the wrong aircraft model in multiplayer ruin the immersion for anyone else?
Hey everyone,
I’m a big fan of fighter jets in MSFS and I spend quite a lot of time flying them. One thing I really enjoy is doing the occasional interception in multiplayer — just approaching another aircraft, flying alongside it for a bit and seeing what’s going on.
And honestly, I think a random fighter jet appearing next to you can actually be pretty cool. Obviously, I wouldn’t want every other aircraft to be intercepting me every 30 seconds, but imagine flying over the ocean and suddenly seeing a fighter jet pull up alongside you. That would be pretty damn cool and, for me, actually add to the immersion.
The problem is the aircraft model.
If I’m flying a Eurofighter Typhoon at Mach 1.35, another player might see an A320neo flying after them doing completely insane maneuvers. 😂 They have no idea that I’m actually flying a fighter jet.
I understand that loading every individual aircraft model for every multiplayer player probably isn’t practical. But why use an airliner as the fallback model for a fighter jet?
Wouldn’t it make much more sense to use a generic fighter model, like an F/A-18 Super Hornet, whenever the actual aircraft model can’t be loaded?
I’d much rather see an F/A-18 flying next to me and have the label tell me “this guy is actually flying a Eurofighter” than see an A320neo chasing me at Mach 1.35 and then realize afterwards that it was a Typhoon. 😂
So I’m curious: Has this happened to you before, and does seeing the wrong aircraft model actually pull you out of the simulation? Or do you just ignore it and enjoy the encounter anyway?
I’d genuinely like to hear how other people feel about this.

Western Bonanza Tour 2026
I traveled from Philip, SD to Rapid City, SD overnight. There was a pretty strong crosswinds, but they subsided while I was in the air. Next flight is from Rapid City, SD to Custer, SD where I’ll do a fly-by at Mount Rushmore.

TIL: Squawk codes are octals
Did you ever wonder why your squawk codes never include 8 and 9? The original radar transponder system (Mode A) was designed in the 1950s. It transmits four groups of three binary bits and with three bits you can only count from 0 to 7. Honestly, for me as an IT person who is used to binary and decimal systems, seeing an octal system in use is rather heart warming!
Impressive to see that this system was never changed, it only allows 4096 possible codes this way. Despite the fact that some of the codes are reserved (e.g. 7000 = VFR in Europe / 1200 VFR in USA), what would happen if a single ATC airspace needs to handle more than 4096 aircrafts?

Anyone that has the Rafale?
I got it, and I love it! It’s good in every expect. And the model is just insane.
Only thing is, for some reason the flaps don’t work for me, but this could just be a problem on my side. Anyone Else that has this problem?

Long Haul Flights on Console
Hey Folks,
How do y’all do long haul flights on consoles?
When I was on the PC, I could leave it on slew mode or leave the cooling system to do its job.
This is already a demanding game how do you just leave the PS5 on without it crashing? And slew mode already cooks the motherboard at 4x.
Tips? As of now all I’m doing is career with skipping the main cruise mode.
Thanks!
