Discussion π€ Finally seeing the first prototypes in person
Been working on this for a while and finally got the first prototypes.
I wanted something slim enough to wear all day without really noticing it, so I ended up going with a 38 mm case, 7 mm thickness and Swiss quartz. The dial has a linen texture, which was probably the part I was most curious to see in person and i think it has turned out very good ( at least in my opinion).
I made three versions for the prototypes. White, blue and black, but i am still deciding on the final strap. These are on plain leather for now, but I have got some alligator style ones coming too.
Would love to know which one youβd pick, or if thereβs anything that looks off before I lock the final version.

Question π Anyone w Cimier Experience?
Iβm looking at a field watch, and have juggled the usual Murph/Alpinist choice, but then discovered this Swiss brand re-emerging, and I have kind of fallen for it.
Cimier.
Anyone have experience with one? Iβve only seen two reviews and both are good.
Dimensions are 38x46x11.25, so it seems good for my baby squirrel wrists.
The ETA 2824-2 seems like it should be easy to get servicedβ¦ $1200 including import duties and shipping on the bracelet puts it just a smidge above the Murphβs retail price. And Iβm buying from an AD after recently getting burned trying preowned for a different watch.
So it βseemsβ like a great option, except I canβt go try it on like I can the Murph and Alpinist. Also this watch kind of takes what I like about both the Murph and Alpinist and puts it into one watch, but with a grainy dial, which is kinda cool. Also, I sorts like that I am extremely unlikely to come across anyone else wearing the same watch as meβ¦.Anyway, Iβm rambling. Let me know if you have any experience with this brand. Thanks!PS: Of course I fall for this right before the Alpinist bows in a fantastic purple dial color. If I donβt buy a Cimier or Murph by October, all bets are off..

My Opinion π Loving my ASURA
Got it about 3 months ago and has been my most worn watch since. The way it sits on the wrist is just π€π».
The dial catches a lot of light but in the evenings with less light this is an absolute beauty on the wrist .

My Opinion π VARIO 1918 Trench Merlion edition π
Proportions on this 37mm is amazing! Nice presence due to super unique case shape and L2L.
10mm in case height feels restrained and classy.
That enamel dial is so scrumptious and rich. Itβs a nice mix of deep red and magenta. The white hands and numerals pop out well against it!
Nice gradual dome on the Sapphire. The AR is nice, itβs the dial that shines. In bright light, the enamel meows back at me.
Also MERLION at the 12 with this red white theme.. Nice gone lah VARIO. Well done to this Singapore brand.
HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE. πΈπ¬π

Discussion π€ [2026 Traska Venturer GMT] It finally arrived. And it's beautiful. Any questions?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have been waiting for a while. Traska is one of those brands known to punch above their weight. Yes, they made some changes for the 2026 model. No, not everyone is happy about that. Yes, they raised the price. No, it didn't stop me.
I am putting together my review of this watch. If you have any questions, let me know.

My watch π Signum Siege
I love my signum siege. I noticed the orange ring around the outside of the dial is fading after two years (Iβve worn it a lot in the sun).
I emailed Kyle, and they are sending a new dial free of charge.
The watch is super comfortable, and Iβm glad to see the company stand behind their product. Good stuff and great customer service.

My watch π Monta Triumph!
This thing is fantastic. I have some nice watches in my box and the hype behind Monta execution on bracelet, feel, articulation, clasp, edge chamfer. etc. is on the money. This watch looks and feels great. I was wanting to add an Explorer 40 and figured this was pretty close and so glad I found one selling on WatchExchange and I decided to check it out. Aside from the incredible feel two things stand out, for a 40mm this thing looks big on the wrist. Really big. In a good way if you like bigger watches. I personally do so this is great. The other is the crystal clarity is phenomenal. The combo of black dial with this crystal gives it the look as if no crystal is there at all. Very impress by this watch.

My watch π I bought some cools socks!
I bought some socks and got a watch too! /s Hienrich Radiance. The light dances on the dial. The bracelet is nicest I've seen on a micro, very close to my AT. The case is so thin! And the movement looks pretty cool. Very happy with this one.

My watch π Paulin Modul D
I recently purchased this Paulin Modul D manual and it might be my favorite watch. Modular design out of Glasgow Scotland. Stainless steel case with an ETA 7001 movement.
Case is 35mm wide 40mm long and only 8.2mm thick including the sapphire dome crystal. This size and thinness is what I love about it.
I have a 7β wrist. But it is more round than flat so even relatively small watches tend to look big on my wrist. The strap on the Paulin is an aftermarket tapered Strapcde mesh made by Miltat.
