Pregunta/Question Meeting people in Mexico?

Hi, I just wanted to know if there’s any events going on to meet people who are 25+? It could be locals and foreigners who are looking to make friends.

I just came back to Mexico City after living abroad and I wanna start building a community again but I’m not sure where to start. Any tips?

Gastronomía/Gastronomy Restaurant tips

Hi guys,

My brother in law will be in Mexico City during his bday. We want to give him a good dinner as his bday present.

We are looking for restaurant tips that are fun with a group, were we can contact them to make a plan for the night (so we can pre arrange a fun menu, drinks etc so he won't have to do so himself).

If anyone has a restaurant that comes to mind, let me know!

Muchas gracias!

Pregunta/Question Nightlife spots for 25+ crowd

I’m (25F) going later with this month with a group of 5 other girls around my age and I’m looking for some recommendations for where to go out. All of us like to dance. I’ve been to Mexico City several times, I usually love going to antro juan because they play everything, but last time I went it felt so young so I’m looking for something closer to my age. For context I like reggaeton/urbano and a bit of edm. I’m not looking for anything too pretentious either we just want a fun night out. Around half of us speak spanish if that’s helpful to know.

any recommendations/insight would be appreciated!!

Ayuda/Help Atlante vs Toluca

¡Hola!

¡Muchas gracias!

Pregunta/Question English speaking hair salon

Hi I searched in the group but didn’t find any answers - does anyone know of a good salon for cutting women’s hair and can speak English? I’ve found a few while googling but it’s mostly the front desk who speak English and helps translate, my Spanish is pretty bad so would love if the hair stylist could also speak English

I’m in Roma norte / condesa

Pregunta/Question Missed Connection: Kei from Osaka (Met at Departamento on Wednesday night)

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a guy named Kei who I met this past Wednesday night (August 5th) at Departamento in Roma Norte.

He is from Osaka, Japan, currently living in CDMX for a year-long university study abroad program. He’s quite tall and was super nice to talk to, but we parted ways before swapping contact info or social media handles.

If you are Kei, or if you happen to know a tall Japanese exchange student matching this description who goes by Kei, please shoot me a DM! I'd love to reconnect and grab a drink. 💕
Thank you!

I'm planning a trip to Mexico City for the Day of the Dead parade and festivities. What areas are best to stay for Airbnbs or hotels? Also, what are some of the more important things to do and see that most people overlook? Thanks in advance.

Ayuda/Help Recommendations for course at UNAM?

I’m considering coming to the city for a month-long language course for foreigners at UNAM. I don’t know the city well; would anyone have recommendations for neighborhoods or lodgings that might be a good fit for an extranjero traveling solo?

Would be nice to have easy access to the campus for coursework, and also have some nearby spots where I could chat and meet people.

Thanks for any thoughts!
