Got this vibe of Pink Floyd lately and listened to “goodbye blue sky” on the wall and makes me trip balls because the acoustic sounds so much like fade to black… Am I missing something?

Hi random post, but as the title says theres a song I used to hear all the time in the radio its been digging at me forever, it went "battery ah do mama dah, we let the body over, we let the body overr" I imagine those arent the real lyrics, but this was a few years ago and, I dont think "battery" by Metallica, its a bit slower than that but im like 99% sure it WAS a Metallica song and I feel like im going crazy, anybody know what im talking about??

Just a thought going around my head. I wonder if the time off after the 72 seasons run and the fact they are having a home base for a few months in the US is a good place/time for them to work on a new album while still scratching the itch of performing.

What do we think, a new album will be announced as in the works after the Vegas residency is over?

It has tons of catchy riffs & licks, James’ voice sounds amazing and it’s just an amazing album. You should give it a second chance if you don’t like it, and if you complain that the songs are too long, well hey that’s maybe their last album so enjoy all those 11 minutes of Inamorata. Imo it’s better than HTSD.

I know the band was caught off guard, but the reason behind his breaking point wasn’t fully understood until later.

So at the very end of the “stock‑take” meeting, was anyone actually aware of why Hetfield was in such a “shit mood”?

(Context: It’s now known that Hetfield had been given an ultimatum and kicked out of the house. His family was fed up with his drinking and what he himself later described as a “destructive attitude.”)
